1. It violates the created order.
2. It spits in the face of the bride (church) and Groom (Christ)
3. Because it is a commandment from God that, if disobeyed, becomes sin.
It's really simple.
remember that everyone was told by the messenger of yahweh in the NT that they all once served the prince of darkness and did not have free will even when they thought they did - before they were redeemed by the blood, purchased by yahshua to live a holy life, they (we all) were all slaves of sin/demons/hasatan.
likewise, all alcoholics, all gays, all demon worshipers (of which the world is full of), are liars and are controlled by demons.
is that 'bad' enough ?

Basically he is just saying because God says so... but that's very logical very cold thinking, without much of a human element of compassion in there which is vitally important. Some will experience change some will not, but it's not the believers duty to throw heavy loads upon people's shoulders especially if they are not willing to lift a single finger to help them bear it. That is one of the chief complaints Jesus had against the religious leaders of His day. Just throwing out commandments and making people's lives suck. So mr forth angel guy, what are you going to do to help a gay person or same sex attracted man get through this? hmm? Gunna get in a fox hole together and help him? or stay far away and just say ohh... your going to hell...and run away.
that's exactly what yahweh's word says. why 'wow' ? anyone who lives in sin without repenting, 'wow' ! is not forgiven. that's pretty simple.

She wasn't sleeping around with every guy it doesn't seem like, and she was/is a child of Christ. She would have not gone to hell if she had died before she married the dude. It doesn't work like that. You guys are extreme on law huh?
if i remember right, it was for contrast / comparison of what is right (repenting and being forgiven) as you did, and
what is wrong (continuing to be a reprobate sinner without repenting) and not being forgiven(dying separate from yahweh).
Yes. "God hates fags." Its the passage directly after, "On the eighth day, God created homos by accident.
It's all there in black and white. But don't listen to me, talk to the perfect people without sin.

I have two gay friends and a couple fo gay family members and have talked to several younger gay men on here who asked for advice. If they are seeking help, I'm happy to do what I can and never said I wouldn't. I agree that slapping them with commandments and not showing them the way after is wrong. My issue is with those who want to justify it as NOT sin and force this perspective on those who disagree. It is sin whether we like it or not. But I totally agree with pretty much all of what you said.
I also give advice and help any other who is struggling with any sin if I feel qualified to do so. If not, I refer them to someone who is more qualified. Again, this is not about condemnation (speaking for myself), but as we can see from this thread, many are attempting to justify their sin and I can't be on board with this no matter the sin.

i guess you'll just have to read it to see. it only takes one sin to receive god's righteous judgment. any sin at all. that's what god's word says.
try reading the bible -- it has wonderful blessings in it from god, and final judgments also - blessings and curses both, not one or the other. you don't get to pick what you want and live. you have to go by what god says, then he may permit you to live, by sheer grace !

according to god's word, yahshua, and the apostles, any unrepentant homosexual is still completely dead and separate from christ jesus,
regardless of what they think or do or say. without repentance is no forgiveness of sin is what yahweh's word says.
no worries and thanks also for asking - sometimes what seems clear at one moment to me may be ambiguous or unclear just
because of the nature of forums and threads with so many intertwined topics all at once,
not to mention it's like most forums wide open to outsiders (outside of christ jesus) to post as well and they have no constraints for truth. all our feet get dirty/dust covered here, not cleaned, just like when walking the path from bethany to jerusalem !
Yeah. I'm sitting here reading and thinking about what everyone is saying. I like to think of these things carefully. I knew this was gonna be a heated discussion so I want to try to stay out of the fighting and get down to the nitty gritty and that is: how can a Christian love a gay person in todays world?
There have been some truly wonderful responses which have really made me think.
