rachelsedge: Being self-critical can be beneficial if not taken to an extreme. I bake sourdough bread and make soundtracks (for singing songs with at church) and I'm somewhat critical of what I do. When I can't find fault with the result I know it's pretty good. The last soundtrack I made, for example - I can't find anything I would do different. It must be pretty good if I can't find anything wrong. Sometimes being critical of one's own work makes the work better.

But I do listen to my body more than I think most people do, and when it is under attack from within it tells me quite emphatically it does NOT need a stimulant to rev it up and then let it caffeine-crash. Also my taste for sweets in general just completely turns off.

19 year old guys are stupid. I know his mom and sister. They're the nicest people to have walked the planet. Then... There's him. Because he's some epic musician, extremely intelligent, and has gone through boot camp, he thinks he's so above everyone else. He completely berated and degraded me tonight. My personality, intelligence, the only thing he has the decency not to go after was my looks.

Seriously, I am very sorry that he said the things he did, and I hope that you don't value his opinion enough to actually believe any of them. I also know how easy it is to fall into the mindset of "men are so insensitive/crude/etc". But it's important to note that he didn't say that awful stuff because he's male. He said it because he is rude and insensitive.
Yeah... You're right. I'm usually not one to generalize, because generalizations can be hurtful. But I felt hurt. No offense to 19 year old guys out there. I'm sure that most of you out there aren't that bad.
Get a download manager. If you use Firefox web browser, downthemall is a good download manager add-on.
For the record, the type of file is not the problem. It is either your internet connection or the server from which you are trying to download. The fact that it is a compressed .rar file should not affect download speed.
It can be interesting to see them in the same room CatHerder. My brother had a temper and so did our boss where we used to work. It was neat (in a bad way) to see them escalate off each other to the point of shouting. It was like watching a game of pong or tennis where the ball travels faster every return.

Try a download accelerator. They don't actually increase your download speed (which is defined by your ISP and network equipment), but they source multiple mirror sites and download a segment of the file from each site simultaneously. Firefox and Chrome I believe both have a download accelerator add-on/extension. I believe Firefox has the better one, if memory serves correctly.
