Most people have VERY LITTLE CLUE as to who they actually are. We believe grandiose things, overly positive things, overly negative things about ourselves. We lie about and to ourselves and/or make up personas because we think people will like or love us more if we change who we are. It's not always malicious. In fact, it rarely is. We do these things as children and teenagers because we want friends or family to adore us, to love us, to never be upset with us.

Now, for all of you who are reading this saying, "I've never changed for anyone!" Think about that statement first. Is it actually true? Have you never considered changing for someone? If you haven't, really and truly haven't, you are part of about 2% of the ENTIRE populace. And the 2% estimation is generous. Psychological researchers have found that people will change who they are at the drop of a hat to be emotionally fulfilled. The core of who we are as people doesn't change. That's biblical. However, our trappings, our likes and loves, our decisions change daily. We change daily. And we are capable of absolutely anything.

Last year when I travelled I had a tough time balancing between staying warm and being appropriately dressed. Just watched an episode of "Hoarders" and feel much better about myself and my cluttery apartment. Finally feel a burst of energy after being sick for two days. Actually am thankful to be doing chores! :)
 
I like the first one better. Also, I think the acousticy-alternative sounding stuff is "in" right now. If marketing to teens, then I would lose the "what's left of it, anyway" comment about the hair, though. Most teens wouldn't relate to that.
 
I just got home from a men's wild game dinner at my church. To say it was interesting would be an understatement. Venison meatloaf was deemed the most exotic of courses. The decor for the event was a wall across the front of the church with 20 deer heads on it.

Taco Bell never looked so good.

Yes. Deer Old Taco Bell... Hoss is going to sit and fawn over your menu for a while.
 
Well it was better than the original version. That would neeeeever play with young people today. =^.^=

hoss: Venison meatloaf was the most exotic thing on the menu? No squirrel and dumplings? No rabbit gumbo? No barbecued raccoon? No deer roast?

By the way, will there be anybody on singles chat in an hour from now?
 
Note: I did not want a new iphone, but my old flip phone from 2007 decided to retire itself in the form of 100% dropped calls and no service half the time I need to use it.. plus I've been spending inordinate amounts of time lately in doctors offices (not for me) where there is no wifi available so I figured a smartphone would be a good choice. :cool:

oh yes, and I figured out instagram! much to the chagrin of my online friends.. [evil laugh]

don't worry, i won't be taking anymore selfies for awhile. :p that one was just to test my phone.

An iPhone?! Noooooo.

Actually, I have a tough time defending Android as an alternative, although I really like my HTC One M8 ─ at least its build quality.

I actually thought about what you said when i was trying to decide between it and a samsung. I remember you said the samsung had a bigger screen and was thinner (i think), but the android OS wasn't as nice as the apple's iOS. Hope I got that right. :D Anyway, I already have a samsung tablet so I figured I'd give apple's iOS a try too. :)

Gosh, I really don't remember that if I said it. As far as size and weight nowadays, the difference really isn't glaring. My big thing with iPhones is the lack of expandable storage, though Android 4.4 has somewhat taken away from that being a selling point.
