No, from what I can tell, he's merely suggesting life is contingent on passing from death, not instrumentally on the loving of others.
So we're clear, are you suggesting the instrument of your salvation is loving your brethren?
This is where you live in the fairy land of hypotheticals. When one has passed out of death into life they are born again with a new nature and will not dwell in hate.
1 Jn 3:4 "We know that we have passed from death unto life" Why? "because we love the brethren."
John warns them "He that loveth not his brother abideth in death"
So the Christian can become lost for not loving the brethren for he that loveth not his brethren abides in death.

You cannot get one to pass from death to life WITHOUT loving because John made loving is a necessity.
The reason loving is a condition for if one quits loving he then is abiding in death.
One chooses of his own free will to love and he can choose of his own free will to quit.
The eternal life received through grace by faith does not exist apart from, nor outside, spirits,
any more than human life exists apart from or outside humans.
Eternal life is not some kind of object hanging out there that we move in and out of,
just as human life is not some kind of object hanging out there which a person moves in and out of.
Eternal life is Holy Spirit life within one's personal spirit reborn (raised) from spiritual death.
That life is immortal and does not die,
and if it simply departed from spirits who have received it,
where would it go since it can exist only in spirits,
as human life can exist only in humans?
Not only is your understanding of eternal life contra Biblical, it doesn't even make sense.

How can someone who has faith in Christ, and has been made a new creature go on sinning? John said in his 1st epistle that those who go on sinning, has never seen God, nor have they known him.
So how could these people have ever been saved? let alone lose something they never had?
maybe some people need to study context and meanings of some verses before they try to throw them around trying to prove their point.

Dcon, my friend, I disagree. It has EVERYTHING to do with Biblical salvation.
Eternal life is a promise, 1 Jn 2:25 and having this promise is dependent upon one meeting the conditions God has placed upon it. The bible does not teach God gives eternal life UNconditionally. If one quits meeting the conditions he loses the promise. 1 Jn 3:24 where does John say the Christian can know UNCONDITIONALLY he has passed from death unto life? He doesn't.
God, (not me) has made salvation conditional upon what you do and continue to do.
Jn 5:24 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
Cannot be saved unless you have a present tense hearing and believing. So if one quits hearing and believing he no longer 'hath everlasting life'. God did not promise everlasting life unconditionally whether you hear and believe or not.
You come up with some really inane things. How does on un-hear? Can you un-ring a bell? Jehovah God has declared that His word does not return to Him void but always accomplishes that to which He has purposed it.
The Holy Spirit acting through grace and upon the word of God creates the faith necessary for a man to be convicted of his sin, of Christ's righteousness, and Gods judgment on sin. When you have been confronted by God through the power of His Holy Spirit you will never be the same for the experience. Paul found that out on the road to Emmaus.
Time to check what you got. If you are not the new creature God said you would be then you have an issue.
