What a lecture, Iseeyou!

There are GOOD clues to observe (one I liked is: my house will be called a house of prayers).

I think it serves to abolish denominationals names, one day.

I will use it (another version) though.

If it was a "prayer structure" He lacked mentioning a couple of things of it:

Time? traditionally, I have heard, there were 3 times for prayers in Jewish culture. But Jesus is shown on the Gospel spending more than half of a day, evenly He slept on a boat sinking ( Mat_8:25 Luk_8:24 ) because He ussually fasted much more than usual and spent nights in watching vigils (Mat 26:40-41) while His disciples were not so "spiritual" or deep on prayers.

He gave just a draft!

It wasn´t a structured model, just a free draft, and looke how Moises "dared" to talk -face to face- to our marvelous Father:

"Exo 32:31 Moses then returned to the LORD and said, "These people have committed a terrible sin. They have made a god out of gold and worshiped it. Exo 32:32 Please forgive their sin; but if you won't, then remove my name from the book in which you have written the names of your people."
Exo 32:33 The LORD answered, "It is those who have sinned against me whose names I will remove from my book. "

It was a challenging boldness Moses used to appeal in behalf of those he thought needed forgiveness. But I like God´s justice.

Again, He gave no exact clue in that brief "structured" example if it was "lifting" hands or being knelt. Jesus showed to be a free example of not showing up (Matt_6:5 or 6:16)

I prefer Hannah ways (to avoid demons would listen to my particular prayers)

1Sa 1:12 Hannah continued to pray to the LORD for a long time, and Eli watched her lips.
1Sa 1:13 She was praying silently; her lips were moving, but she made no sound. So Eli thought that she was drunk,
1Sa 1:14 and he said to her, "Stop making a drunken show of yourself ! Stop your drinking and sober up!"
Oh, Almigthy God!

Please keep OUR NAMES written in the records of your ones...

We´re falling short!

But -please- may your HANDS reach US soon.

Amén!

Sorry bout the longwindedness, guilty, I can be longwinded, so the word lecture is the perfect word there.

I dont even call myself by any denominal name, thats one of my irks calling myself by any house name.

Yeah and you know, I took from there after scouring every prayer and what the apostles prayed for us and just tweeked those into one prayer accordingly. That was just really fun, because I was like, okay, how do I get this to flow from start to finish, and doing that gets you to really think, wow I can pray for that! Or wow, what would that be like to receive this from God, that sort of thing. That wasnt a material thought but more after the prayer for a spirit of wisdom and revelation from him, things like that.

Stuff you might have read, but forgot you can ask for LOL

You gave it with love, along with those things you still learn in your walk with Him.

Thanks! :)

I felt I´m assembled " as a Church "with several in here.

May our spirits "keep it rolling" the whole week.

As you said, Iseeyou:

"Mat 21:13 Jesus said to them, "The Scriptures say, 'My Temple will be called a house of prayer...'"

He probably used YOU to help us walk better. If you don´t write them down, I wouldn´t have known, since you helped me see it.

Thanks!

Now this blind man  may say I see you.

LOL!

Thats too cute, and funny also, because Im usually the one getting folks in trouble, so I sure wouldnt count on that LOL

I think I have more "forgive me" Lord's in my prayers then I have Lord please forgive others in there and that nots because Im not forgiving them but because they didnt need as much forgiveness of me LOL

I kid, but seriously try it, I would have definately blown doing that off, and think, "how weird"? who needs some sort of formal script, but telling ya it was a very anointed experience, to comb through these things very attentively I thought I wouldnt be able to pull myself from it.

And I say that because I am typically turned off by the formalities of things (Im one of "those" kinds of people). Thats just like my first initial knee jerk reaction to it (which is always ew...)

God bless you

Since FORGIVENESS is mentioned.

Have we found out the difficulty there is in forgiving ourselves (and others)? Yet expecting God forgives our transgessions with a simple "bla, bla, bla"?

Luk 6:37 "Don't judge others, and God will not judge you. Don't condemn others, and you will not be condemned. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.

We do well acknowledging OUR transgressions, whe asking forgiveness. And it´s also good to check there are recentments, even against God, when we endorsed Him our faults or failures, same we we tried to make others feel our sole guilt.

Sometimes I needed a push to walk up, like this:

Mar 2:9 The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins. (A)
But how can I prove this to you? Maybe you are thinking it was easy for me to say to the crippled man, 'Your sins are forgiven.' There's no proof it really happened. But what if I say to the man, 'Stand up. Take your mat and walk'? (B) Then you will be able to see if I really have this power or not." So Jesus said to the paralyzed man,
Mar 2:11 "I tell you, stand up. Take your mat (CROSS) and go home." (C)

I think thats what I do, I went through a phase of restructing the scripts into prayer, that was just so fun, I havent done that since, and never thought to do it (would typically think thats weird) like writing a script for myself but it really wasnt, there was alot I missed praying about. I couldnt believe it, so I was glad I did that. You should try it, Im sure if this is on your heart now you will be blessed in doing it.

I have one online I posted I could send you, which isnt me but the scriptures rearranged into a prayer, if you want, no biggy but gives an example
I'd love to see it if it is anything like the amazing piece in post #33. This would have been helpful for me some time ago in fact. I have a severe case of OCD with intrusive thoughts of an extremely blasphemous nature typically. Only by God's grace are they now just a nuisance more than anything and easily ignored (I don't take meds for them). But one thing I used to do to combat this so I could actually pray without constantly battling them was go through some psalms and read them out loud as a prayer of sorts. Psalm 91 was always one of my favorites. This served to ease my anxiety enough so I could calmly and rationally pray in my head with "my own thoughts" and not battling the intrusions. I put my own thoughts in quotes because this is not a schizo hearing voices type of thing, just to make that clear.. It's just involuntary thoughts. Where they come from - I haven't got a clue.

Anyway, I used to try and write my prayers too, but felt a disconnection spiritually that way and it seemed less sincere to me. But writing prayers using scripture to read out loud would have been an amazing idea had I thought of it. I will keep this in mind if my OCD ever flares back up. Thank you and yes I want to see your other one :)

Thats okay, just do it whenever you feel like it and when and if its a blessing to you. And sure bro, I can post it for you, but no its not going to blow you away or anything, Im not a writer or skilled in that way, and it could really use a few more edits, but I already have it posted out there so I just figure repost that one. This one doesnt have all my personals prayers in it. If this were printed out it should come to 2 1/4 pages, mine is several pages long, prayers for husband, parents, freinds, fatherless widows churches, leaders, locally on up, being filled with the Holy Ghost etc. etc as I am just glancing over whats in front of me, so not everything is in this, this is the shorter part of it.

If you have OCD I will be impressed if you make it though this, I am long winded, and I'm betting the LORD drifts off when I start praying (LOL)

Hold on I'll get it, but its just incorporating some of the former stuff, but Im not a writer here, so you gottta give me slack here ok? LOL

I was just trying ....

I just took this off my blog over at CF, so here you go.

I was looking to touch upon "what things" I might ask for that I might already have along with those I have not. There are various other things I pray to Him for not included in this one ofcourse. Would certainly depend on what you desire of Him (whether for yourself or for others) as often as you do pray. This one (here) is what I desire of Him "for me".

What I did was pull a few from what our Lord Jesus speaks , the prophets and the apostles of our Lord asked for. Whether mentioned in our instruction (to pray for) or that which they mentioned (when praying for them) or directly from themselves to Him and slightly tweeked them "to me"

I'll add a prayer as I write them, just because I love thinking on them and writing them out.

This is just small part of what I sought out for myself to pray for, what I desired of Him. I might change the wording (as led) or "whatever" this would never be something I would set in stone. I changed this one over 25 times already, Im not one for the repetitive either.

Just a prayer to Him...

Our Father of all Glory Who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy great name.

My God be most blessed!

With all that is within me I bless You and render the thanksgiving due to your name.

I come before your throne in the name of Your most precious Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to offer up my praise and thanks to our most wonderful God and Father. Thank you My God for all the riches of your goodness toward us in Christ.

Blessed be the Rock of my salvation!

There is none so great as Him, and none more desirable then He.

Thy Kingdom come thy will be done, on this earth as it is in Heaven

All thanksgiving, blessing and honor be to my God forever!

I will make my requests known to the living God, in whom I make my boast, give ear O LORD for you are the God who truly hears

May the God of my joy provide all my provision as I look to Him this day for my daily bread.

How great is Your faithfulness, My God be most blessed!

Grant unto me an understanding heart that I may discern between good and evil and always have within me the willingness of heart and the power by Christ to perform the good. That I might walk before you unto all pleasing by Christ Jesus the Lord

Father forgive me all my trespasses as I also forgive those who trespass against me as you know

Grant unto me this also, that as evil abounds that it might not grieve me, be to me my Shield and the Peace that guards my heart, in whom I both rejoice and take refuge.

Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil

For your name's sake and for the praise of the glory of your grace let not iniquity have dominion over me

Set a watch at lips, let the words of my mouth , and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight. If only it be that my sentence come forth from your presence, that I might rejoice you always in speaking what is right

Grant unto me my desire, that I may be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, having all power to grow up into my fullest measure of the stature of Christ,

Of You I ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. For all my desire is known of You, after my desire I will seek, and after the same will I ask, "that I might know You"

And now my Father having the eyes of my understanding enlightened cause me to fully know what is the hope of your calling, and what is the exceeding riches of the glory of this inheritance in all your saints.

May it be your good pleasure to enlarge me, May the peace of my God that passes all understanding and the love of Christ my Savior, which passes all knowledge abide with me and ever increasingly so that I might be filled with all my desire, the fullness of My God.

For with You all things are possible, without You what can I do? I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.

Now unto the great God who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I can ask or think, unto the God of all power I present my requests

Cause me to know the exceeding greatness of Your power to us-ward who put our trust in You, and to know the working of Your mighty power which you exerted in Christ Jesus the Lord when you raised Him from the dead

Would that My God be pleased to count me worthy of His calling, and to fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power

And this I pray also, according to the will of my Lord that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into His harvest in the hope always that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified in them that hear

And that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in me, and me in him, according to the grace of my God

That it would please the God of all peace to sanctify me wholly; that my whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the love you have shed abroad in my heart abound yet more and more unto the praise of Your glory even in knowledge and in all judgment.

My thanks and praise to My God who hears us by Christ, My God be forever blessed , and may all who love our Lord Jesus be enriched with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

In the Name of our precious Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope to try various ones. Im not too sharp here I know it, I could have worded it or arranged it better, Im not the most skilled person in the world, but that sorta thing truly never matters to God, He looks at the heart. I mean I dont ever hold some script while I pray to Him anyway, and I'll often say (without one) "Forget I said that Lord, or "Lord, I changed my mind", or, "Ok... thats not really what I meant to say" etc. Heck, maybe I need a script, now that I think about it.

But I just put one together for the fun of finding things we can pray for, and I will most likely continue for the great peace He gives me doing so. The same in prayer. Some might not know what else they could pray for, so maybe a few of these might help. Never know.

David (for me) always blesses my heart by His thankful heart to God. He just always does.

Well, I hope to put another one together a little differently later.

Hey, he looks like he is praying dont he? LOL
How do you know "he" is "he" and not "she"?

If "she" is "she", I could feel this way INSIDE "her" hands:

a)

Or like this:

b)

untill the day I knew what was her prayer.

No one knows the power of a prayer untill the moment we see the end result.
