Um... no. RAM is what your computer uses to store what it is working on at the moment. Virtual RAM is a part of the hard drive that your computer uses as a (slower) fall-back when it runs out of real RAM.

Lynx- the restarting I did wasn't on my laptop, but the paintings. I should still take your advice though :)

Sometimes I roll out of bed and start sewing buttons back onto pants.

Ugh, grogginess. Head cold. Brain weirdness. Still dark outside. Had a dream last night I grew a beard like Phil on Duck Dynasty so I could infiltrate a Beard Convention and steal their Secret...something. No idea what it was. But I think I looked quite nice with a long gray beard.

Ooooh! Coffee's ready. My world can continue turning now.
I've read that in dreams, beards are symbolic of wisdom. So maybe that means that you are getting wiser?

or it could mean a hormonal imbalance....I'd go with wiser...

You know what's worse than weighing yourself daily to see if you've lost anything? Checking your stock portfolio daily to see if you've gained anything. Blahhhh. WHAT THE HECK, stock market??

I am starting to ask God for an adventure each day and He is providing. Also I am continuing to get into the word to hear it again. It is easy to study it to a pulp, compared to actively hearing its message.

Men's basketball is being tried on a new day and time.

I am grateful for how much God has grown me and anticipate continued growth. It is helpful to journal daily and STICK to the plan.

Today, Lord, use me in a fresh way. Meet me where I am and lead me.
Thanks, in Jesus name, amen.
UPDATE: This was an incredible day for me. I went out to eat and prayed for God to have his way. Well, I had 3 men seated at different tables near me, and so I prayed that God would help me to speak with one of them. The first one, I said nothing... eventually, he left. The second one, I opened with a friendly conversation about sports, but then he left without hinting he was leaving. (Talk about feeling stupid and rejected!) However, there was the 3rd guy... and he looked to be in no rush.

I approached him and asked if I could sit with him. He agreed. I said, "I saw you were taking your time and I just wanted to meet you." The conversation was a bit odd at first, but it then got real deep real fast. He is a manager studying to be a better leader and is reading the Bible more; but he had not made a decision to follow Christ. He is a humble guy with strong listening skills. Still, he said, "I feel like I am missing something."

That was a great opportunity to share the story of "the woman at the well" (John 4) along with John 10. I asked him to read out loud if he was okay with that, then I would read wherever he wanted me to read. It was sooo COOL! He was like, "Oh, I get that." It was completely the Word (Bible), the Spirit, and him wrestling to understand so he might correctly apply a lesson.

I never like rushing people to make a decision. I never want it to be human-led; rather, I want to be used by God to somehow lead some one to Himself. And God does that. And today was a reminder of His Activity. Remembering past failures of not praying with someone and wishing I had, I asked him, "Before we go, can I pray with you?" He said yes to the request. Then, after the prayer that aimed to be humble and point the hearer to God, he said, "I needed that. I know there was a reason for this." I said, "Just remain in Christ, man." But don't see me as a leader or anything, I am like you, a man who is in of God. And thank God, He meets our need."

I was clear to share with him, "I was wanting to talk with someone. In Scripture it says, As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. We have both been sharpened by this experience."

Praise God!

I love that you keep up on that stuff! I'm actually planning to get into some riskier day-trading this year once I've saved up enough to jump in. Meanwhile I'm trying to learning as much about economics as I can. It helps that I have to take a macroeconomics class this semester, and this is a little ridiculous and insane of me, but while working I've been listening to free lectures from a microeconomics class posted on MIT's website.

Last weekend I was feeling ready to go and even a little excited knowing that my weeks were going to get super busy again, but I feel like Satan is trying so hard to deflate the joy from my life. I'm just trying to focus on the positive because it seems like every other thought I have wants to focus on the negative in my life. It's like I have this sinful discontentment going on in my heart where I want something to change, but I'm not even sure what. I think tonight it's mostly just loneliness. It's like Satan is trying to convince me that I need to somewhere...anywhere for satisfaction because God's not enough.

But I know He is.

That's awesome! I use Vanguard for my ROTH and I'm still really learning how it all works, but it's very satisfying.

(I mean, normally, when the stock market is looking better.)

Good afternoon, my beautiful brothers and sisters in Christ! Joy to the world - we have true hope in He who is Love, Life and Truth!

On another note, as a young teenager I was on my aunty and uncle's farm, sorting the shorn sheep from those with their wool on. I did this by swinging the gate left or right, depending on the designated pen for each. As I was doing this, I failed to notice a huge ram charging at me. My uncle cried out and then next thing I knew. Boof! I was hit by what seemed like a train and flew up in the air like a rag-doll. I fell onto the ground and was in a lot of pain, I fractured some ribs. It really hurt to breathe for weeks after that, and especially to laugh. I don't know why we didn't go to the doctor. But not many people can say they've been rammed by a ram. So I feel unique. Haha!

I believe that's what I've used as well for my 401k through my employer :) I haven't contributed in awhile, though, but want to start that up again within the next couple of years.

That sounds both awesome and terrible at the same time :D And your story reminded me of this meme:

Haha! Exactly. It was crazy painful but also poetry in the making. On one hand, my body hurt like nobody's business. On the other hand, I couldn't wait to tell my family and friends that I'd been rammed by a ram. I even contemplated all of that as I lay on the ground, writhing in agony! Haha! I'm so weird.

Because unless the broken ribs are displaced, there is nothing a Dr. can do for them. The only thing you can do for broken ribs is to tape up the chest tight (to keep them from becoming displaced) and take it easy for a couple of weeks.

OW!!! Those rams mean business! And if you didn't see him coming... you wouldn't have been able to even protect yourself. I am cringing for you now.

We had a long horned ram who loved to butt people too. My father was once run up a tree by this ram, and had to sit in the top of the tree and wait for someone to hear him calling and come rescue him. We still laugh about that, but I don't imagine it was so funny when it happened.
