No a person is a slave to sin because they continue to walk in them, and do not give them up..............
They say they have repented or confessed, but continue to do them constantly....That is a slave to sin.......

We are suppose to be servants of Christ, meaning we do as He instructed us to live.............
No the strength of sin is the law and it makes those under it slaves to sin.

No its not sin its the strength of sin...it produces sinful lust and desires in those under the law...that's why they are slaves of sin.
That's why they cannot cease from sin ...because they are under the law...the strength of sin.

2Pe 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

They are under the curse of the law...and as Paul taught the commandment to not covet produces covetousness in them

1 Yahchanan 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yahweh: When we love Yahweh by keeping His Laws. For this is the love of Yahweh: That we keep His Law, and His Law is not grievous."

Psalm 19:7-10, "The Laws of Yahweh are perfect, converting the whole person. The testimony of Yahweh is sure, making the simple ones wise. The statutes of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heart; mind. The commandments of Yahweh are pure, bringing understanding to the eyes. The reverence of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of Yahweh are true and altogether righteous. They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than even much fine gold. They are sweeter than honey and the honeycomb."

Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and circumcised him.” (Acts16:3)

Christ will be of no advantage to you. I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole Law” (Gal5:2).

1 Corinthians 4:15-16, "For though you have countlessb guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father (3962. patér) in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I urge you, then, be imitators of me."

Matthew 23:9, "And call no man your father (3962. patér) on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven."

No the strength of sin is the law and it makes those under it slaves to sin.

You have a very false skewed understanding of what a slave to sin means, as you constantly want to pin all blame on the law and none of it on mans faults.
Man makes themselves slaves to sin by living in them continuously day in and day out, and refusing to give them up.
That is why we were sent the Holy Spirit, to keep us from being slaves to sin, and lead us into all unrighteousness.
You can not continue to walk in sins day in and day out, and continue to be saved born again believers. The way you talk you are leading people astray. For people will listen to you and think they can continue to live however they want, because sin can no longer impact their life.
That is false doctrine my friend, as sin only is not imputed on you once it has been given remission by the covering of His blood. Repentance and baptism take care of past sins, and confession takes care of our future sins......

If you repented and was baptized say back in 1980, and have not confessed one single sin you have done since then. You are living an impure lifestyle my friend, and you need to confess them before you are brought before the Lord.

No its pretty simple...the law is the strength of sin and those under the law are slaves of sin...just as Paul teaches.

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

That's why they cannot cease from sin ...because they are under the law...the strength of sin.

1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Gravely misuse of that scripture, as the context is about living in willful sin. Not saying you will never sin again, as 1 John 2:1 says you will, and even Paul says sin does still effect us.

In 1 John 1 he calls those who say they do not sin, and have no sins as liars.......................

I quoted the scripture ... and its not I don't sin as much as so and so!

1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

So you think its ok to sin just a little?

Well we know we are justified by the same faith of Abraham ..and like Rahab the harlot....not by the works of the law.

All the word of God is true, but how you have been taught to use it is a flawed concept.
You misuse the context to say that a believer in Christ does not sin ever again, which is a false.
The context and meaning in that scripture is that the Holy Spirit ( Seed ) that is in us will keep us from giving into and living in willful sin. This does not mean we will not slip up from time to time and sin, but it is how one goes about it when that happens. If you confess that sin when you slip up, that is the sign of a true born again believer as John says. Then He gives us remission of that sin and covers it with His blood never to be imputed on us again.........

1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
