My family and I are celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. There's the Christmas production at our church on the Eve and Christmas lunch on the Day. My parents have invited a friend around for the Eve and meal and I've invited a friend around who doesn't have family to spend the day with this year (and our other friends are busy with their own families or not in town). We'll share in good food and drink, share about what Christmas means to us, hopefully pray for each other and then get into a board-game or two. This will be my first Christmas in a relationship but unfortunately we won't be together on the day. Maybe we can Skype later on in the day.
You'd better at least send her a "Merry Christmas" text. >.>

All I can say is, one thing that makes me glad to be single this time of year is that I don't have accommodate 2 church services and 2 (or more) dinners to try to please everyone's family... Nor do I have to buy presents for a boyfriend, his 3 sisters, 2 brothers, very-picky-mom-who-doesn't-like-anything, Dad-who-always-drinks-too-much-eggnog and already has everything, 8 in-laws, 3 children, 4 pets...

'Tis the season for giving. In lieu of having a significant other I would be otherwise be shopping for, I gave MYSELF the gift of 3 new books (after making a donation to my old orphanage, of course) and I am going to savor every single page as I sit by myself on Christmas day eating my homemade shrimp alfredo.

Happy Single Holidays, everyone!

(Yeah yeah yeah, I wish I had someone to spend the holidays with too. But hey... it's all about trying to make the best of it...)

Edit: I have no idea why I quoted you, seoul. LOL maybe it was about the buying for everyone. :p I lost a few appendages buying for people this year.

I wish my family were more united this Christmas. Because of some...issues with the church I'm going to, my oldest sister and her fiance have vowed never to step foot in that church again or talk to the pastor and his wife again. So we're STILL having one family go to two different church services. I'm having to buy presents for everyone, including the fiance (which I mean, I don't mind. I got him one thing, but I couldn't think up anything more. I might have to get him a last minute gift card to somewhere.) and I need to find one more small thing for my sister. I have my other sister covered. I got her a Nancy Drew game. I LOVE those games, and so does she. Overall, I am in no way prepared for Christmas.

BUT! That is not gonna stop me from being happy on Christmas. :) I'm going to make the best of it.

ArtsieSteph as you said whatever let me share if I was there near your place and you have nothing to do on Christmas. I would surely love to go with you to a Church if you are interested. After the church is done we would take some rest fresh up and in the evening I would ask you if you like like to join me for a Christmas Event like Christmas Concert,Christmas Celebration anything where the feeling of Christmas flows lol and later when the Event is over I would say a Good Dinner in a Open Air Restaurant with cool fresh natural ambiance lot of Greenery beside a beautiful lake the view and feel would be awesome and I would really eat till I'm full and finally when we are done with the dinner. Best thing to do is to go for a Walk with you all the way road leads to and crack funny Jokes. So A Perfect Ending For a Perfect Day. I know No one wants to feel bored on Christmas and I feel its worth giving a Company to someone and make their Day Perfect I just felt it to share and I did Now Dont Hate Me HaHaHa

That would literally be the coolest Christmas ever. :D :D

Fortunately now I have my family to hang out with, but being able to hang out with friends would be absolutely amazing.

Hey guys!

I finally got my stocking hung. If my other presents are in the way when you want to drop yours off, feel free to just set some of the others on the floor (especially if it feels like clothes) so yours can fit.

Merry Christmas!

It's not too late.

You could just asking every woman you see at a local shopping mall. One of them might be desperate enough to say yes to some fresh baked bread.

Actually that's a pretty easy sale. Just ask women out and tell them you will make a meal. That could work.

I'm not guaranteeing the quality of the result, but it could work.

If I were in the market for immediacy over quality I would already have a girl I can't stand by now. :p

I have heard story of "Christmas dates" though I have never been a partaker of such thing. Not that I wouldn't try a date, (a date for like a party or dinner would actually be adorable) but not like a committed relationship just not to be alone. that is unhealthy and unfair to both parties. :/

I envy you singles in this aspect. Getting married meant that now there is a mother in law (and her husband), a father in law (and his wife) a sister in law, her husband and their kids that got added to the Christmas deficit.
