So desperate for a job, I'm now looking for volunteer work. I applied for position that involves shoveling horse dung for a couple hours each day, I wonder if I'll have much competition.

If I created a blog, I wonder how many would follow it? I always feel like I have something more to say than just a little Facebook post here and there, and Twitter definitely doesn't give me the freedom to freely type something as long or short as I want.

Am I even an interesting enough person to create a blog?

You'll never know how good you might be at blogging unless you try ;)

A thing to keep in mind is that the best blogs with the most followers tend to stick to a fairly common theme throughout, rather than just posting random thoughts that most people won't really get. Not that you have to stick to ONE single topic in every post, but I'd say, especially starting out, try to keep it easy to read and easy to get the point of what you're saying.

I think you should try! Based on your posts around here, when you speak up on a topic, you come across as very clear, very mature, and very intelligent.

Let us know if you decide to start one :D

That's very true! I like to learn and talk about a fairly good amount of subjects, though, I guess maybe once I got into the swing of things, I'd know what I specifically would like to write about.

Being interesting is not a requirement for writing a blog; neither is getting it read. If you want to write, write. And if people make nasty comments, well most of the time you can turn comments off so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Heck you could get your feet wet with a CC blog. That's where I go to think through in writing all the stuff that's too long for a forum post or that I don't really want everyone on singles to be talking about in a thread.

How does one get his/her feet wet on the CC blog? Is the CC blog set up on the seashore?

May you taste of your own pill. :p

I keep reading the Kindle a fire on the Sabbath thread as...

Kindle Fire on the Sabbath..

And I'm wondering...are they really debating if they can read a Kindle Fire on Saturday?

I was wondering the same thing.

I decided I'm going to make an actual blog. :) I think I'll have fun doing it. I'm in the process of making my first post. It won't be anything spectacular. Just a hey, this is me. This oughta be good, right? haha

What the heck, why do people invent musical genres like scream, or grindcore? I really don't like Spotify advertisements hahahha.
Because different people have different tastes and interests? I hear most of the crap on the radio and wonder how people can listen to that.

Twitter can be challenging to write for, but oddly rewarding...

I'm really worried. I looked at my schedule for this week...and there's nothing. That seriously does worry me.

I'm so tired, I am literally kneeling on the floor with my head on my couch... I look like I was sitting there and I melted off... I don't remember how I got here, so I probably did.
Its totally not fun being tired all the time. My house is a disaster.

WHAT! You two met up?? We need details! What did you do? Besides eat Mexican food. ;) You should post this in the meet-up thread so it doesn't get lost in Streams. :) Where's the picture of both of you together, eh? I'm happy you got to meet!

So, it's basically 2 am here. I tried to sleep for a while now, and so I gave up and made food. Why? Because don't judge that's why. My computer just about borked on me. I really should get anew one, but you know...that requires money.

It's so unsettling when a couple shares a facebook account. You know, those "John&Jane Doe" accounts? You never know which of them is talking. If you want to send one of them a message, you don't know which is going to read it. If pictures of kids or statuses are posted, you don't know which sent it.

People are different, and I always look at someone through the lens of what I know about their personality. This person might be more sensitive, therefore I will be more careful with them. That person might be more prone to drama, in which case I would view what they say with a grain of salt. But if two people share an account, I'm going in BLIND. I have no way of knowing their quirks or gifts or anything. They might as well be a faceless stranger.

I realize why they do it. It's shared accountability, or safety, or even just presenting a united front. But I'm going to respond differently to someone's husband than I would to them. I'd be much more careful with a man than I would a woman who was a friend of mine. So in a way this defeats the whole purpose of doing it. The only way to be safe is just not to respond or react to anything that their account says.

Miss Grace, I do not approve of your actions. We are happy that you had something to share with all of us. We understand that ranting requires a lot of self-control and we commend you for keeping your emotions in check. Unfortunately, the way you chose to exit the stage is very disappointing. Did you know how much it costed us to buy that mic which you just threw down nonchalantly? Did you know how many hours Lynx spent hoisting the cables and setting up the audio equipment so that you could hear yourself talking? Doesn't it come across as being thankless when you throw the mic without fixing it into its stand?

It is going to be very difficult to continue running the sound & lights in this place if people abuse our audio equipments like this. As a measure of deterrence, Lynx and I have decided to fine you $249.99 towards the cost of repairing/replacing the mic. Kindly pay the money through wire transfer within 24 hours, failing which you will not be allowed to step on to the stage again. Please note that there will be an additional surcharge of 1.5% on the total amount, for every hour past the deadline.

*stomps out of the room shaking his head*
