I GOT THE JOOOOOOOB!

Yes, it was fast because of the fact that it's getting so close to Thanksgiving, that they didn't have time for a second interview and decided to skip the suspense and tell us whether we were hired or not by the end of today. I was worried at first because I didn't get a phone call for a while. But I just got one almost an hour ago saying I got it. :)
Congrats, Lil!!! :D

Some of my students are going to be weeping in the morning. Just entered grades, and lots of zeros for not turning homework in.

Hey, hey! Easy there, sister.

Being a guy who has never done his homework, I think violakat should have appreciated her students' honesty. Maybe she should have given the defaulters an extra grade? It's all about guts n' glory right?

j/k.. but yeah, I never did my homework. Even when I did, I never submitted it on time. In those days life was too awesome to do my homework! :D

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I got some persimmons (the baking kind) at the farmer's market today. Putting them in a paper bag to ripen up.

Persimmon nut bars this weekend!

after the holidays I will go back to hating baking.

I assume you are still talking about persimmons here? There are two types that are common in markets here, the Fuyu, which is short and squatty, and the Hachiya, which is taller and more...persimmon shaped.

You most likely had the Hachiya, which eaten raw, does that weird, numbing thing. But that is not a problem when cooked. The Fuyu is a much better snack to eat raw, but is not nearly as good for cooking.

I am so very beyond blessed to be busy with a job that I LOVE and get paid adequately for! Also, I'm soon to have a new niece! My sister and her two kids ( soon to be 3) have been living with me since the beginning of summer. God has given so much grace during this time and has helped us both to grow tremendously! He taught me, time and time again, that I am not the provider for these 5 people, He is! And He is faithful to provide for all of our needs. And now...my sister knows Christ! :D
Just thought I'd update those of you who know me. Six months of being busy taking care of a family of 5 and loving them into the kingdom. You guys! Serve in love...that's what God's been teaching me. The kindness of The Lord leads people to repentance. :)

Heck of a testimony, doll. How new is that pic in your avvy? Kyla looks like she's practically ready for middle school now! She's gonna be tall as you are soon.
