2 Corinthians 3:4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Getting ahead God can ruin your week maybe even you life. We are a” want it now “generation who think they know better than God. Maybe you impatient have the know how, but aint no time like Gods time. We have fabricated relationship ordained by man with God less approval and why…because we lack a trust in God. But we must trust Him.

Disappointment becomes a reality at the failure of a long awaited hope. And don’t you know God will let you go ahead of Him so when He catch up with you He’ll find you in a distressed mess. But this is the time when we should be most fervent in our faith. God loves going ahead of us and preparing a victory that only He can triumph. It’s waiting and trusting in God.

This would be a beautiful post if it is applied in truth. If it was no one would be working for a pay check.

Good post, Soup,

Add in the end of Gal 2 & Eph 3, Christ dwelling in the heart by faith.

The Ideal is adhere to scripture. Faith walkers should understand that a worker is worthy of his/her wages at the application of faith.

It is in God's time and not our time, but He is always on time. Careful with the works they can deceive you and cause you take your faith off of what saved you.

A discussion on works is not a discussion on trusting all of God with faith in what it says to guide us.

Rom_7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh, to the law of sin.

Romans 7 certainly doesn't tell us not to work at all, even if God loves us so that just absolute trust in His grace, as well as everything God tells us, is our salvation.

The life of Joseph is a good example of trusting God in His time.
Especially when evil has been done to him we find these words...

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
(Gen 50:20)

What does a "wage" include? This is not about money but a roof over our head, food, clothes etc.

Your reply has holes in it's agenda; you are replying for the sure pleasure of responding. Wages has nothing to do with the intent of my original effort to encourage, however the rabbit trail answer you suggested needed addressing. I was informing you that if you work you are deserving of pay albeit substance( ie working for food) or some form of currency. Again Wages has nothing to do with this thread. Just sayin

When we read scripture, I think we must know it is breathed by a God who is not a mortal but a spiritual being, but who communicates with us with our physical understanding. We must know the difference between things of the spirit, things of the spirit expressed in our physical world, and our fleshly desires.

From this understanding, we can know that wages in scripture is much more than money, food and clothes. A society run only the way the Lord tells us has wages that only the word shalom expresses.

A study of how the Jews survived in the dark and middle ages when gentiles wanted them dead explains this. Those poor people didn't even have Christ to guide them, only how God had told them to live. It pulled them through impossible odds, and they even guided the gentiles who accepted Christ in how to put God first.

Amen! Consider all dimensional instances where we have to trust God. So far I am seeing that some might believe I'm Speaking in the area of provisions which is far from my intent. But Trusting God is an inevitable contingency of the flesh dying out and the believer deepens his or her faith walk in Christ Jesus.
