I used to have an ego problem. I thought highly of myself and like the dc talk song says, "had to learn the hard way". I did. That is, however, gone along with other things I used to think. :) I have also been thinking of natural beauty and worldly beauty and how it has changed how I treat people. The people who I thought were supposed to have answers, were also looking for answers to things of their own. I think about things that are related to my academic goals as well and try to apply them to other things that do not make sense to me. I use my hobbies to help sort things out to help me understand things that are complicated. Jesus makes the most sense to me, but what we do with knowledge seems forbidden. God sent his son to bring us to repentance from sin so that we can know the truth is greater than knowledge and we are set free because of his sacrifice.

I know there is a hard to find definable line between feeling legit pain/anguish/sadness over personal problems/tribulations/loss/whatever, and whining over petty little life grievances. I'm not going to try and set those boundary markers.

But seriously, most of us aren't at the top of a mountain with 100s of ISIS raiders salivating at the mouth to chop our heads off. So maybe with that in perspective, there could be an opening to have some more thanksgiving in one's life, and less griping complaining.

Again not trying to set boundary lines on what are legit or petty issues, just trying to give helpful perspective. I'll leave the boundary setting up to you.

Written to anyone willing to read.

Nice one.

We can remember how blessed we are by just looking at people in situations that are so unfortunate compared to ourselves. There are so many people dying and being hurt, persecuted and hungry.

It's not possible for all of us to save everyone but at least we can save ourselves from petty vanities and false humility.

God is greater than everything else in this world. Jesus is powerful. His blood on the cross has redeemed us and set us free. All that depression and sadness is from the Enemy.

Btw my prayers for some of you dealing with these emotional traumas. Be strong and courageous !

TO ALL:

Also, please pray for people in Pakistan. They are having a political crisis at the moment. Please pray they have a stable government and safety for Christian brethren living there.

Feels like yesterday I had my sweet sixteenth. And now...I'm 3 months away from turning 18. It's exciting, yet scary.

Still in the process of cleaning out my closet and found my old laptop with lots of pictures...
I transferred all the pictures to my current laptop and there was an inevitable trip down memory lane with Swingers on..

You know, the worst mistake, indeed, is being afraid of making one.
