Oh, I see. We can only post if it meets with your approval?

I used to know a former satanist (now saved) who told me that reggae was the name of a demon.
Food for thought.
"Souls. That's what it's all about. I want to bring as many people as I possibly can to know Christ. God gave me a gift of music, but Christ called us to be 'fishers of men.' but with no line, no hook and no bait, you can't catch anything. My concerts draw many people who might never walk through church doors, and everyone gets the concert they come to hear. But at the end I am going to pray and ask them if they want to know Christ. That's what really matters. I am a fisher of men and music is my bait."

The Word of God is sufficient to save. Neither Christ nor the Apostles used a gimmick to draw people. That is worldliness.

I can see you're going to continue your self righteous, religious trolling that will only bring division and frustration. People like you have been around forever and i've yet to hear one of you make a truly valid, verifiable point. Only opinions, misquotes, scripture twisting, etc... good to know you need to be put on ignore within your first week of being here so i don't have to suffer your trolling any longer.

You on the other hand are pretty indignant and self-righteous in a way that reminds me how someone acts when a pet sin of theirs is even questioned. So sorry that you're "suffering" because I made a comment about what a former satanist advised me. Please do place me on ignore, since that's probably best for both of us.
here is another point - both Christ and the apostles attracted multitudes by reason of the miracles they did and how they stood up rhetorically to the priests, scholars and philosophers of their day. their fame spread for these things, not just for their teaching.
so i could strongly argue that their oratory skills and miraculous acts served as a "gimmick" that drew people to hear their teaching in much the same way that a musician who plays and writes lyrics skillfully can draw in people who would not otherwise listen to the message that they have to give.

There's a good article I read somewhere and have been trying to locate. It's call "The Heritage of Music" and it was penned by David Bowler. If you can find it, please read through it and tell me what you think.
Not all music is created equal. Now, I know you may say that musical notes are as neutral as letters of the alphabet, but they're no longer neutral when arranged to form words. The same goes for musical notes.
You can take what I say or you can leave it. My job is done in having said my piece.

I didn't know there was that much Christian reggae out there. I must admit I'm not a fan of it though. I'm more of a metal/rock/industrial person. I've also gotten out of Christian music lately. It's almost too cheesy.
