it's easy-peasy. ok, so here's how this goes:
my usual goal for (extra) water is 8 oz x 9 (servings) = 72 oz water
i put 9 jellies on my left wrist to represent 9 total servings of water (8 oz each serving). each time i consume the said water serving, i move the bracelet to the right wrist, with the others. or take it off, altogether. : )
a good starting point for how much water to drink is .5 oz/lb of body weight, but you (probably) need extra for diluting beverages, such as caffeinated coffee.
I did the same thing with rubber bands when I was in school. Except I was keeping track of how many weeks of school were left. Plus I always had something to do in class if i got bored...play with rubber bands. =) I used to wear them just cuz I could too. It as always interesting to see how long they would last before they would get brittle and snap. At least they were cheap.
