Perfection does not exist on earth. There is only one person I know that is perfect and that is Jesus Christ. No person, item, or thing is perfect right here on earth.

Hej people,
What's your opinion
Does it exist on earth?

It did when God created the earth, So yes perfect was here on earth. However we have spoilt it by sin. so now there is no perfectness. But if you have Christ in your heart, you can have perfectness, because he is perfect. you can have a taste of that perfectness from God.

So as to your question does it exist on earth? No, not anymore. But to gain perfectness, is to renew your mind soul and heart for God and to keep at it without sin. Then perhaps there can be perfectness back on earth.

God is the only perfectness. But he is not on earth, though he sent his son to die on earth in order so we can try to be perfect in him. But like I said, Earth was perfect at one time. and that one time we ruined it by sin.

It exists in a dictionary and in varying degrees. It depends on the person. For me, I can consider the timing is perfect and other matters. Needless to say, we aim for perfection. :D

Matthew 5:48 Jesus says: be therefore perfect, as your father in heaven is perfect.

Perfection is called to be practiced by the words of spirit and life of JESUS written in the Gospel, to those who believe in HIM

"Be ye perfect as your FATHER in Heaven is perfect."

There has been no perfection on this earth since Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden. Perfection is impossible for us sinfully wicked humans. God made us IMPERFECT for a reason. We can spend our lives being godly like Jesus was, but true perfection is impossible.

Christ is perfection.

True perfection is possible.

How do you figure that, especially when we are imperfectly made and prone to sin? Even saved people get the urges and wants and lusts to sin still. I believe that we can live nearly god-like lives if we apply ourselves enough, but TRUE PERFECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE.

Blasphemy! How dare any man say a person can't be perfect. Your disrespect saddens me. Some do not know of what they speak of, others are in denial, and there are those who try to lead you blind. Genesis 6:9, Genesis 17:1, Job 1:1, Psalm 18:32, Psalms 37:37, Psalm 119:1, Matthew 5:48, Luke 1:6, Philippians 1:10, 1 Thessalonian 3:13, Hebrews 12:23, James 1:4, 1 John 2:5, 1 John 4:12 etc. This is proof.

If perfection were possible why do live in an inperfect world full mostly of greed hate corruption and evil? We should strive to be perfect even though we can never be truly perfect due to sin but always striving to be just like Jesus.
Be careful what you say is Blasphemy because our words are held accountable before God.

Question: "What does the Bible say about perfectionism?"

Answer:
To put it bluntly, perfectionism is a hoax. We cannot be perfect! Yet many well-meaning people continue to strive for this unattainable goal. They want to exceed expectations at work, at home, at church, in sports, in hobbies, in physical appearance—and the list goes on. They have somehow convinced themselves that to be acceptable requires them to measure up to a personal or societal standard of perfection. A perfectionistic mindset brings stress and can only lead to discontent and frustration. Perfectionism often involves raising the bar to absurd heights and striving in our own efforts for something that only God can do.

The point of the gospel is that we are unable to save ourselves. We all “fall short”; we all “miss the mark” (Romans 3:23). Sinners need a Savior, and that’s why Jesus came. When we trust in Him, He forgives our shortcomings, imperfections, and iniquities. We can stop striving for an arbitrary, worldly “perfection” and rest in the Perfect One (Matthew 11:28).

Martha, who was “worried and upset about many things,” probably struggled with perfectionism as she served the Lord (Luke 10:40-41). As she prepared the dinner and set the table, she wanted everything to be just right. The problem was that she was setting a higher standard for herself than Jesus was setting for her. “Only one thing is needed,” Jesus told her. Then He pointed her to Mary’s example of peace and rest (Luke 10:42).

It is true that the Bible calls us to be “perfect as [our] heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). The Greek word for “perfect” here is telios. It means “brought to its end, completed, or perfect.” So, to be “perfect” in this sense is not how perfectionists so often imagine it. Rather, it is to be completed in Christ. Philippians 1:6 says that completion is the work of God. He created us, saved us, and is faithful to perfect us.

This is not to say that we have no responsibility to grow in our faith (2 Peter 3:18). We must cooperate with God’s work in us (His perfection of us)—see Philippians 2:12. We are called to live godly lives and to submit to God. But the focus of the Bible’s commands is not on others’ perception of us, as is so often the idol of the perfectionist. Instead, the focus is on our heart’s posture toward God.
