Peter was the leader of the Church as per Matthew 16:18-19 and John 21. The early Church had held since the earliest days that the Bishop of Rome was the head of the Church.
No where does the bible say that all that the early Church believed and was taught to them by the apostles is contained in the bible. That's why the writings of the early Church are important - they let us know what is always believed. Protestants through that in the trash and pick up the writings of 1500-2014.

None of those deify Mary.
Only protestant deify Mary to say Catholics believe she is divine. Mary is not divine for Catholics, period.

Because Jesus is King. In the absence of a wife, the King's mother held the title of queen.
So to deny that Mary is queen, you must say that Jesus was married or the Mary is not His mother.
Because Mary helped and comforted Jesus she is the Holy Spirit?

Acts clearly demonstrates that James was the leader of the church in Jerusalem not Peter. The church did not begin until Pentecost which is again in Acts. The references in Matthew and John are in essence pre-church.

James was the head of the Jerusalem church. You could call him the Bishop of Jerusalem. Peter was the custodian and overseer of the Church. In modern times, the word we use is Pope.
1. I don't believe Peter is bishop of Rome. Act 28 clearly describe, Paul is the founder and the bishop of Rome.
2. I don't believe the Lord asses a church base on who is the founder. I do believe the Lord asses the church base on the faith of the congregation. Look revelation on letter to seven church. It doesn't matter if the church founded by Peter or Paul, what matter is if the church have the right teaching, if the teaching inline with the bible or not.

PETER WAS NOT A POPE and he definitely was not the first "Pope". Where in the New Testament do we see Peter claiming to be a pontiff?
The concept of a supreme, infallible pope grew up gradually over the centuries as the Roman Catholic Church came into existence and consolidated its power. This history is traced in the book, Catholicism Against Itself, Volume II, by O.C. Lambert.
"The Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, namely, and as pastor of the entire Church, has full, supreme and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered" (Vatican Council II-The Conciliar and Post Conciliar Documents, 1975, p. 344). The Vicar of Christ is the Holy Spirit, NOT the Pope!

Which Catholicism and other ancient Christian groups believe. James oversaw Jerusalem. Peter and Paul went to Rome. Mark was of Alexandria. Andrew went to Asia Minor (Turkey).
Not sure why you are saying this because I do not disagree and it does not have anything to do with my post. Matthew and John are both references to the Church, the flock. Both reference the Church/flock.

Nice try, but RCCism views it as more than a title. Your own Pope thinks she gives protection and can come to our help with immediacy. What is it with the RCC giving all of these lofty titles, only to totally talk them down? If you believe she's praying, then just say she's praying. Don't say she's giving help and protection. Those are things only God does.
One of your popes even said Mary rules over us!
Another pope said she can be entrusted with the very hopes and fears of humanity! Yes these are indeed God-like attributes given to Mary by your own popes.
