To nap, or not to nap? That is the question...

In a fun new development, my ex is pretty sure that the reason I left is because I am depressed and need to see a doctor and get medication so I can come back and be happy.

.....

Yeahno.

Anyway, I'm excited to get to pay my electric bill later. Yes. Excited.

Calm down dear. Way too much excitement in your life. Mine too. Naps are good, not too exciting but at the same time refreshing. Except when you wake up groggy and start to wonder what day of the week it is. While not exciting it can be disconcerting at times. Depressing too.

its a Korean movie called "A moment to remember". It is SO good. It centers around a romance but I don't consider it a chick flick. Every man I know who's watched it has confessed to crying at least once by the end.
It's the kind of movie that leaves my mind reeling, wondering what I would do if I were faced with such circumstances.

I just...I just can't even say enough about it. This is why I can't handle seeing it too often!
My mum was actually nagging me to watch this a couple months back. Thanks for reminding me to watch it!

Apparently I have a pimple inside my ear. How I got it, I don't know. Much less the fact that this is one of the few times I have ever had a pimple. I mean seriously? Only I could have a pimple in the most weirdest of places.

Right now I'm in this small folk-hipster coffee and tea shop in the hip part of town reading. There is a large population of long beards, glasses and skinny jeans. And then there is me haha.

hi rachel, this cracked me up.

i love that we are almost hair twins. everything you said, is the same for me. even though i have really fine hair, i have tons of it. except that (by your picture) you either wear your hair less curly than me, or that mine is more ethnically/curly than yours.
Hair twins, ha, love it. :) In my avatar picture, I had actually been wearing my hair in a side braid all day and took it out for the picture, so my hair is wavier in that picture rather than the natural curl that it is. Are yours tight ringlets? Mine are loose ringlets. What's the shortest you've had your hair if you've cut 8 inches off??

we just had a tornado about 45mins ago..
Where you live?? Or nearby?

I got a very nice response from the HR person for a teaching position that I applied for on line last night. I just stumbled upon it in the morning and saw the app deadline was last night, so I got it in on time...barely. He or she (I couldn't tell by the name) said s(h)e "sincerely hopes I will be chosen for an interview." My credential is current, but there are some other requirements not quite current to teach in CA. I am so glad that my God is bigger than the CA educational bureacracy.
if there's no work there, china is always hiring teachers. any degree will get an english/western culture teaching at a college or university here. if you decide to look at the idea send a message and if i can be any help i will

Things are getting worse with my brother. Everyone told me I was worrying too much, but so far all of my hunches have proven accurate. I'm not stupid, I know what's going on. It wasn't that long ago I was a teenager myself, and he thinks he can hide stuff from me? He's slipping away right in front of me and I feel helpless. At this rate, I expect that within the next year he will have gotten her pregnant, moved out, and stopped going to church.

His is youth pastor is a joke and I'm actually glad he's NOT getting advice from him. My dad isn't doing or saying ANYTHING, leaving my mom to shoulder everything and look like the bad guy. The only counsel my brother is seeking is from my best friend and her fiancé, but he's conveniently filtering any advice through the lens of his desire because he's ignoring all of the consequences they endured and only focusing on the fact that they're now engaged (which must mean they did everything right).

Its enough to make me want to scream.

LNF...I am so sorry. It's incredibly painful to watch those you care about head down a destructive path. Deceiving themselves, and trying to hide the truth from other's. All you can do is pray sometimes & love them unconditionally. You have to trust God in all of this..you just have to or it will eat you up inside. I will pray for you & him. Sometimes we have to find our way through the forest & no warnings from even those closest to us will deter us on our set course. The bible speaks about training up a child in the ways of the Lord & they won't depart from them. It could be he may have to go through a season of some messed up stuff in order for him to see God's hand in his life. Only God can change his heart. I know you know all this, and I know it's so very hard to watch those you love willfully turn from God. Just keep him in your prayers & let God have your worry & concern.

So I have my arm up bent at a 90 degree angle as i'm typing.
My dog comes up stands on the bench I am sitting on, and wiggles himself through the space between my arm and the table......
He is just standing there like this right now......
Like I have him in a headlock...

He doesn't seem bored yet...........

Is "A Moment to Remember" the Korean version of "A Walk to Remember"? Not that I've seen either. I have watched a sweet and seriously quirky Korean romance/drama/comedy movie set in a mental institution though. I recommend it. The movie's called, "I'm a Cyborg But That's Okay".

Here's the trailer:
