Introverts Unite! Right?
I do that often, or i'll say yes without thinking and try to back out. The BBQ sounds OK tho, go make an appearance then say you have a Skype chat with a friend from England :)

yeah, good plan on the escape. i'd considered flaking on them, except they're really sweet to me and are constantly offering to help me out with stuff around here, so i feel mildly obligated to be neighborly.

oh, and miss p, you're the first person in a loooong time who's accused me of being an introvert. : D

p.s. i'm glad you're back around these parts. you were missed. : )

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
we have to all take a Yoshi's island break :p

Oh man, blueorchidjd, if you find a teleportation device, feel free to drop by and nerd out with me. I think I have the older classics, some of the earlier Mario's and a handful of Donkey Kong games. I have some random fighter game, some role-playing game, but, I do not have Yoshi's Island.

Rainy weekend, starting tonight... LOTR & 1st & 2nd Hobbit, sounds about right!!

(hey, that rhymes)

Now what to eat along with the movies & rain? hmm..

I like it when the Aussies are active on CC while the rest of us sleep. It's like they are little night creatures that slither out from under rocks while we slumber, except that it is day there at the time, and they don't slither, nor live under rocks....but otherwise, it's just like that.

(Done in a David Attenborough voice)

Here, we have the rare species of Aussies, emerging from their burrows in the cool of the night. While the rest of the jungle wildlife is asleep, the Aussies come out to play, socialising in a much more quieter environment.

Pretty sure I need to start a project that serves no real purpose other than to keep my mind occupied for a while.
Get your kids to help you build a 20,000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Should keep them out of trouble and give you all something to do in your downtimes.

This could work for me and my son...the baby would totally chow down on the pieces though . Really. She's like a little goat, she'll eat anything.
Right, blanket fort for the baby, bubble wrap for my little window escapee, and for me. I'm gonna paint. Because I haven't got a puzzle. Or a flame thrower. Wait, what?

I really hope kitty doesn't keep everyone in the house up tonight. He's screaming at me because I left him when he didn't want me to. >.<

They were homemade, tourist, because my sister can't have high fructose corn syrup, and I'm not a fan of HFCS either.

i can't wait to hear how they turn out. i've considered making them before, but they've never been high enough on the list to actually go through with it.

hey, can you take a peeeekture of the results? pretty please!?! : )

I have to go to the post office tomorrow, which means I have to be up before 1:30PM...it also means that I have to endure another visit to the post office...

I MUST ask, what ingredient makes them puffy????

I think it's a combination of the sugar and gelatin expanding from the heat, then you use a standing mixer and at first you put it on low, then on the highest setting it'll go for 10 minutes. It ends up doubling in size after the ten minutes.
