I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the beating your wife, your dog, your kids etc etc is unmanly cowardly stupid ignorant behavior and if you engage in this activity, you are a teeny tiny little speck of a man and I hope justice plays itself out with you and teaches you a lesson.

It seems that Many think that the Church must go though the tribulation, So as the Bride of Christ > Jesus must beat Us!> Your thoughts. Kinda like Islam A
It is utterly impossible for the Church to go through the Tribulation. That is simply because many, many generations of the Church have died. There is no way that centuries of generations of dead Christians could go thru the Tribulation. IMHO, it is a very poor argument that the last generation (only) of the Church must go thru the trib to prove it ain't chicken.

As to wife-beating, that is a clear violation of loving the wife as self; Ephesians 2; husbands are to nourish and cherish their wives. Such an abomination.

Question and food for thought. When does the Church become the "Bride of Christ"?

The bridegroom takes her to his own at the rapture and forever be with her. Now, He is preparing His place...

John 14:2-4 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Yes I beat my wife all the time and proud of it. I'm not going to lie. She needs to know I don't play. I beat her in chess, basketball, I beat her in video game. I'm pretty much beat her in everything we play. :)
Yeah right. Can you put her on so we can hear her side of de-feet?

Hmmm...which study Bible do you have? I've never heard that interpretation before. Which doesn't give any validity to anything. There is tons of stuff I've never heard.
It is NASB Ryrie Study Bible. And just a head's up - I don't agree with quite a few of their interpretations of scripture in the study, but I think most of the facts are accurate.

I used Google and searched for "imperial day" and Revelation 1:10

This came up. Based on this, I'd have to say someone would have to be cautious about firmly stating it means Imperial Day. To me it is a plausible option, but I wouldn't make that claim with total certainty.

Thanks, that was interesting. I haven't read the link yet, as I should be sleeping, but I will get to it tonight.

Kind of like the absurdity to think that the Lord's church is worthy of no tribulation as she is so righteous now...way more righteous than all the martyrs that have been killed for the cause down through the ages.....wonder why Jesus allowed some 60 to 80 million to be murdered by state religion seeing how they were members of his churches.....oh wait...we are so much more righteous...and DESERVE to be RAPTURED.....

If they will kill the master..........!

No. They should not beat their wife unless they want to get beaten.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[SUP]27 [/SUP]That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
