Is it heresy to deny all these scriptures in search of the phantom OSAS?
When one is born again, the cocoon is ready and has broken out, the one is born again, as a Butterfly that it is impossible for a Butterfly to ever be a worm again.
The same is truth as in born again. one will never be a worm again, having to crawl on the ground, even though there are many that are born again and are still crawling on the ground, when they can fly.
Hope you see this, if not okay. Time to fly worm. How the worm says, I can't fly and the maker says oh yes you can
And the Cocoon is spun, to become a Butterfly. Which is born again as in Hebrews 5:11-6:9 Playing Church is like being in the cocoon, not yet born again

There are verses that pretty clearly state you can lose salvation. There are also verses that say you can't. The bible doesn't contradict itself.

My question for those of you willing to admit the bible has more scriptures then support your one side, what do you do with the scriptures that support the opposite? If you actually are willing to concede that there are verses in support of both sides. Which there obviously are, you cannot just say since you cannot reconcile them they aren't there, which I am seeing plenty of in this thread.
Thank you Brother, thank you, now maybe time to rightly discern them?
So you beleive right. At least one says so and is new born, a kid, in need of milk right?
So the ? now is will you remain in this belief no matter what this world throws at you?
Can you go through medical emergency and die in surgery, lose parts that you do not want to lose, have been good to others in Faith and still remain to not ever curse God.
Well if one can, think of what you do not want the most and if you get it, what you do not want, will you curse God, and walk away or stay
This is a hard saying, yet will you? Time to stand, no matter what others think or say, stand for God, go to God in prayer in private and God who knows all secrets will openly reward you with life everlasting, where one is content in all things good or bad, knowing the God does just love them as revealed to them personally by God
in this respect OSAS is for real where as OSAS as taking God for granted is not real

Born again? Really? But have you actually had the faith to use the only lawful procedure the effects that outcome?

God is Faithful we are not,
Or do you choose not to be faithful
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

and so you act as if your Nephew has something to do with God saving us through Chirst
If Nephew ever really believed, and not just by his lips, with his heart and is astray, he will return
Hey Peter Satan wishes to sift you like wheat, Hey you all, is this the same for you Satan sifting you or trying to?
Then Jesus said to Peter, But I pray for thy Faith, and when you return, you will strengthen the Brethren
He has...
Romans 16:25-27
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

[SUP]26 [/SUP]But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

[SUP]27 [/SUP]To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Do you see the work in progress, not to those that worship just with their lips, those that worship with their hearts. Peter did and did not understand. Saul did and id not understand. We do and do not understand what only God can reveal to me, you and others only personally
Thank you Father, thank you Jesus
How can you say Peter and Paul did not understand? Are you saying Holy spirit is not a good teacher? You do not understand . Maybe it is because of doctrine of man.
Hebrews 11:6
King James Version
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

worm has no say in the matter friend to become butterfly. You on the other hand have a choice.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
He gave you power(the ability to do) to become a son of God.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Interpreted:
Turn form Mercy and try by good works to get Mercy from others when one already has it from God and does not give it, still selfish in to thinking how shall I survive and then act all Churchy
I remember a prostitute that wanted help, had repented in her heart and went to Church for help? You decide what has happened to grace in our holier than thou Churches
Who did Jesus hang around? The dressed up people, that looked all well. What did he say to them at the feast in Luke 14.
Do we have those same types of people here today, am I one of them, are you or you. Decide and ask and see our need, our own depravity, not those of others, but use those analogies and look at self and ask God for help, Mercy, not Sacrifice
Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
So let us each examine ourselves and quit the examination of others, see our own depravities and need for the Savior Jesus Christ

Can we all do this and help each other in this depravity we all are here on earth in?
Is that a response to those verses? Amazing interpretation !!!

Hebrews 11:6
King James Version

Could this have something to do with faith in the Lord Jesus, who is God and trusting Him to obtain eternal life? Could this refer to calling on the name of the Lord in faith for salvation?

Is there anyone reading this forum who has not done this?

Let's call it DWTW doctrine. Not OSAS. That's more fitting.

Try calling it eternal security:

I give them eternal life and they shall never perish.

How does that sound?
Does it sound like a good deal for desperate sinners?

What you or I think or do must be brought under the subjection of Christ
How about submitting to the gospel of salvation by grace through faith?

Now we can either go to Heaven God's way, or choose any other way to go the Lake of Fire.

Such a great price was paid to buy us salvation.
Why scorn the free gift and insist on one's own righteousness?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

I give to them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Can you trust the Lord Jesus to do that for you?

How can you have eternal life without fellowship
By sinning when you are a Child of God, very easy to do. Try Romans 7 where the I gets carnal and in a mess. Yet he comes out.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 John 2:23-25

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.[/QUOTE]

Yes indeed. Fellowship is one thing, eternal life is another. In many things we all stumble.

You may as well ask, how can I be a son of my human father and be out of fellowship with him? Easy; it happens all the time.

To determine eternal security, examine the passages that mention "eternal life" and "salvation/save/saved/Savior." Don't go off on a rabbit path about fellowship and chastising. Chastising proves who is a genuine son;

I give to them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Can you stop worrying about this & that other subject, and trust the Lord to do for you what He has promised?

Oh,ok. So we should disregard about 75% of the New Testament that says otherwise.
The Bible is systematically consistent on salvation. And if you want to speak of percentages, how many times when eternal life is the outcome or salvation, what percent mention only faith/believing in Christ?

Let us each work out our own salvation in fear and trembling, and hear each other in edification and let us each com=ndmen our selves not each other

Have any of us taken a look at ourselves behind closed doors yet, exposing the real you. If one does not see this. Ask your kids, your wife, your closest friends who see yours and mine depravity, behind closed doors
And stop, not slow down and repent between God and you, personally. Then the milk and honey from God might flow through me, you and all who see their depraved self behind closed doors
This thread is about false doctrine is it not? no one is condemning anyone the word does that. I am glad you see the need to work, feels good good doesn’t it? But you have spoken a good word....that is good works...thanks be to God
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

You keep quoting me and asking about closed doors. Brother Homwardbound, my life as of this moment is mostly behind closed doors. There is nothing beyond my private personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I am not alone in this room He is with me. That is the reality of my moment to moment life. I have no wife to question. I have no child to question.

Look at the passage, NewBirth.
"He has promised us . . . eternal life."
That is a past promise made to all who put their trust in the Lord Jesus. "Whosoever believeth in Him . . . everlasting life." I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
The promise is not given on the basis of abiding in fellowship with Christ in this life. Fellowship with the Savior varies. Realizing that we have the promise of eternal life should encourage us to walk with the Lord.

But to truly understand these things, first one needs the anointing spoken of by 1 John. You must trust the Lord Jesus with your destiny; believe the promise of eternal life; a promise! The Lord keeps His word.

Why not call on His name in faith right now for salvation?

you never take anything in context so let us go to John 3 shall we.
3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

[SUP]13 [/SUP]And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

[SUP]15 [/SUP]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

[SUP]15 [/SUP]And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Galatians 3:14

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

[h=3]Galatians 4:4-6[/h] [SUP]4 [/SUP]But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

[SUP]5 [/SUP]To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Why not call on His name in faith right now for salvation?
You have a choice to abide in him and obey his command or not life or death choose.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

you want the blessings but you don't want to do the truth and come to the light that your deeds may be manifest that they are wrought in God.
Well NewB,
thanks for posting the scripture. It made an edifying read.
Now what is your proof of what I don't want to do? And what does that have to do with eternal security? I don't see the word salvation or eternal life in your statement.

And then you went on to try to rewrite the Bible!

He who believes is not condemned because he doeth truth and he comes to the light that his deeds may be manifest that is the one who gets eternal life.
NewB, are you making up scripture? Is this 1st NewB 6:19?

Where on earth does the Bible say that? I did a concordance check and found nothing like that. What John 3 says (& you gave the context) is

[SUP]8 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It is believing that guarantees "not condemned."

[/quote]To you believe is a mind thing to God it is an action thing. you gotta do right to show you believe brother[/QUOTE]

What is your proof of that, NewB?

"You gotta do right," you say.
So what are you going to do since you do not do right, but are a big sinner?

By grace you have been saved through faith [if you have exercised faith]. . . not of works lest anyone should boast.

He who believes on him is not condemned!

Hallelujah!

[h=3]Acts 5:31-33[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]31 [/SUP]Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

[SUP]33 [/SUP]When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Look how serious we ought to be concerning Christ...look at this command from the apostle in the name of our Lord.Do you do and will you do the things you were commanded? or will you do it in your mind just believing?

2 Thess 3
[SUP]3 [/SUP]But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
