Like I used to point out in my earlier posts, India is too vast a country in size and varied in demographic composition to make a sweeping generalisation of certain cultural norms and practices. In regions where muslim populations and casteism dominates, women are suppressed and oppressed unlike their Christian counterparts or for that matter as compared to the women in NE.
Personally, I have never considered myself under any 'bondage' and so, the question of regarding women's football as a liberating thing I feel is irrelevant to me.
