I used to like tofu. My mom told me that I would eat it plain when I was really little, just grab it off the counter and eat it while she was cooking. I did end up getting really tired of tofu though... I was a vegetarian for 7 years because eating meat made me feel like I had swallowed drain cleaner and then been kicked repeatedly. Long story. :p

On a different note, I think I'll send a message to an old friend. I haven't talked to him since probably two Summers ago, but he's randomly on my mind, and he's getting an email tonight.

I just need autocorrect for my fingers with muscle memory. I can't type the words no and an very well. They always become not and and.

i was a vegan for almost 4 years a number of years ago. i did it for my health, in theory.

however, at the end of that time i was severely anemic, cranky, missing a good part of my muscle mass and 10lbs heavier than my ideal weight.

i'm sure there are people that can do well on a vegan diet. i've just never met any of those people.

p.s. the only way i like tofu is pressed and grilled/fried. or in some kind of a shake with an exorbitant amount of fruit and other things to hide its taste.

I like the Morningstar Farms vegetarian food line. I buy their breakfast links and they used to have these really good fake hotdogs, can't find them anymore. Their chick patties are really good too. I had a lot of anemic issues when I was vegetarian too. I guess my Grandmother was right, eat some meat or you'll die.
 
I went to a really inspiring support meeting tonight, the speaker lost 232 lbs. His starting weight was 422, amazing. He is now a personal trainer, he's 62.
 
I just went grocery shopping. My fridge, freezer, and pantry are full.

So for dinner, I'm having a vanilla frappuccino and chocolate Zingers.

Sense: my diet makes none.
 
Agh...so many emotions today.

Christian_Chick50109 turned 21 today. I got accepted into college. But....I lost my mom who was everything to me...and now I'm stuck with living the next 65 years of my life without her...this sucks.
 
Sorry about your mom Lil, may you find the comfort of the Lord in this hard time. There was a quote by Charles Spurgeon that once said, "I have learned to kiss the wave that slams me against the Rock of Ages." It's a unique saying, beautiful in its meaning.

we must remember our time on this planet is short. we never know how long we will be around. of course you will be sad and miss her. but as long as you remember her, remember the good times and the things she has taught you. then she is still there in your memory.

its hard at first but it will get easier over time.
 
I was discussing worship songs, and the old Hosanna! Music..Hosanna worship tapes came to mind.
This was the cream of the crop back in the 80s-90s.
I found this. Wow talk about memories.

...so then I suddenly found myself standing in the bakery, trying very hard to convince myself that I did not need any tiny cupcakes (success!) or a loaf of French bread that I could probably consume all by myself in a matter of hours (partial success-bought the bread, didn't eat it all). And I just happened to glance over at a freezer case, and the word Ticklebelly caught my eye at the same moment my 15 month old daughter decided my purse belonged on the floor. While picking it up, I moved closer to the freezer to see what the heck the Ticklebelly business was all about.

Cake babies.

And the the weirdest thing happened...

I looked over at my daughter, who happens to be incredibly round and squishy and wonderfully smiley and who giggles in the most absurdly adorable way when I tickle her tummy, and it dawned on me what a real Ticklebelly cake baby would look like.

And I had this horribly, sickeningly sweet maternal instinct to pick up my little cake baby and squeeze her and kiss her chubby little face.

Then the moment passed, I returned to my normal self, and we skidaddled out of the bakery.

The whole thing was totally creepy.

people then didn't seem to have a problem reading the continous text.

I'm so sorry, Lil. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I've been trying to think of something to else to say but all of it just seems too cliche' to me. God bless you Lil and I pray that God graces you and your family with comfort and peace.

I have to confess that I don't call in often, I'm a very loyal worker. But once in a blue moon, I call in and say "I'm having a serious personal problem, can't make it".

A personal problem is personal, no explanation needed. But Personally, I REAAALLLY want to spend some time with my lady friend, so therefore coming into work would be a problem for me. lol. I know that's a rationalization, but it's trueish :P

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this!!! See...this is why I think it might be a good idea that I don't have children of my own. I might have gotten the same demented thought,but where you used self control,I'd have gone & picked up said cake baby and proceeded to publicly squeeze & kiss her chubby little face. You showed restraint. POINTS! for being a great Mom. lol My actions would have resulted in possible emotional scarring on my child for life.

P.S. Bakeries are evil,with their yummy cakey goodness just staring at you,watching your every move.
