Well this guy in the military is pretty cool. I can see how it wouldn't work out though, it requires a special kind of commitment to be involved in a relationship with a member of the armed forces. We don't get much time off, hence why this is a good day for me. I'm home early, I'm relaxing. 
Relationships are cool, sure, but not a requirement for happiness. I get along just fine with my family and friends, I have good times, and I don't let a whole lot get me down. I would advise everyone else to be that way, because it's awesome.

So, I'll share another story real fast.
My squad and I are walking on a Land Navigation course the other day, it's basically an overgrown jungle of vegetation where you have to find a specific point on a map. We're walking, and walking... and then suddenly there is a very well concealed hole in the ground that I happened to step into.
I thought something had eaten me to be honest, this hole was like 11 feet deep. No joke.. scariest thing that's happened in a while.
