You forgot the NAALCP.

National Association for the advancement of liberal colored people.

There is so much racial hatred today. When I as a boy in the late 60's and early seventies, in northern New york, where there were no black people around, I heard a few n words thrown about. It was what it was, but living in urban south Florida now?

I have seen more racism here, in a very urban diverse LIBERAL area then I ever did in my youth in a non-diverse area.

Its sickening.

I'm not the one that made the ignorant generalization. You did. If you are offended by what I said then be mad at yourself. You stated most whites in the south are racist. You may not have said I personally was racist, but who are you to determine who is or who isn't. Maybe you have had bad personal experiences which leaves you bitter. I am sorry if that has happened to you, but for you to label people based on the color of their skin is also racist.
What if I said most black people on welfare are lazy, and refuse to work? Would that no be racist? Of course it would!

Since I am white, and have lived in the south my entire life I will honestly tell you that me and my fellow white acquaintances don't sit around using the "n" word. We don't wish slavery is still around, and we don't cry because we lost the war.
You are just full of assumptions and opinions aren't you. none of which are remotely close to the point made by my post read your word carefully you may be surprised what you find in them!
I don't know what you sit around and do all day and really don't care. I do know this Don't try to read me you have no idea of my background or if I'm bitter just another assumption. Living in the south all your life I guess it would be safe to say gives you a southern mentality to race and that is a fact. And history shows the southern mentality very well I think.
I've traveled the world in the military and been to many many states and my point is Christian have racist views even in Church another fact.
Both black and white people have race issues that can't be discussed because no one wants to step up and admit well yeah my ancestors have had a history of lies deceit and treachery but that was them and not me attitude, the post was about the negro I was staying true to the post not twisting it into a race war. I could take offense to your statement about not losing the war to mean several things but I have no time for petty debates that have nothing to do with the post.

The accepted word was caucasian.

Were you alive in 1970? I was. I was there and I lived it. Everyone used Negro, on tv and in public.

Unless you are calling me a liar too.
alive and well in North Carolina not far removed from back door eating and staged seating at the Saturday movies

I happen to have an ancestor who was a slave as well as native american, but I am guessing by you looking at my pale skin you failed to realize most of us white people aren't of a pure white race, and we are ok with it.

"Are you a negro then don't try to think like one" What kind of question is that? Are blacks morally superior or a different type of human? Why are we STILL dividing ourselves by skin color? Aren't we all human? Aren't we all equal in the eyes of the Lord? I don't care if your skin color is green. We all bleed red. We all have a soul, and we all need Jesus. So while you are trying to continue the bitterness of racism with whites there are some out there that are moving and have moved beyond that. MAybe one day you will open your eyes and see it
I'm done with your assumptions looks like a nerve of yours has been hit. We are divided by skin color I don't know what reality you live in Just look at Churches as your measuring tool don't take my word for it. Still segregated so what you speak of would be nice and we are getting better as a people but we aint there yet. Maybe you should take your own advice and open your eyes.

You're the one that had made the harsh and untruthful generalizations about people you don't know. I never would have said a word to you had you not said the things you did.
You say "don't try to read me", but you label people just because they are white. It's probably a good idea you don't try to read others either. You have no idea of my background or any others. You don't know anothers struggles or how they even came to be in America. You have no idea the hardships many suffered and are still suffering.

If where you live is as bad as you say then take a stand and do something. If yo're really having to sit at the back of a restaurant to eat and seating away from others at the movies then I will take a stand with you. That stuff just ain't right.

Anyway, I am finished with this before it gets worse.

My mother was in school in Atlanta when MArtin Luther King Jr was killed. She happened to know a few young ladies who lived in the community where he was from. She wanted to go there and see what it was like, and the girls took her, but mom said they did try to discourage it but she still insisted on going. As they were walking down the street mom heard the word "milky" and "stupid white girl"and a few other names that I cannot repeat on here. They even threw rocks at her. The two girls thast were with her were black and they stood on each side of her trying to protect her. Told her to not run or the people would chase her. She got out of there, but was bruised from rocks thrown at her. MY mom was a harmless girl. She was blind, and had to be guided by one of the girls. They didn't care. They hated her only because of her skin.

You say I don't know the struggles of others again you make these asinine assumptions. I am well versed on the struggles never forget that. Take a stand and do something what do you call this? Its still bad sister worse than you will even know many wont tell you that they put on this front like its all good. No its not all good. And people are getting bolder did you really absorb the op for what is really was or did you see something completely different than what was being said.

You miss the whole point of what the op was even about. You speak of harsh untruthful generalizations that is absurd even for you to let come out of your thoughts. I am clear on the race agenda was so before you were born am so now. I have never put a label on people because they were white they put their own label on themselves. I am and will always be a black man in this watered down version of America.

I have very clear and vivid memories of that cross burning in my front yard at eight years old by white christain men they said. Don't you dare tell me I don't know racism or try to equate your lineage of many different ethnicities to my plight as a black man you have no idea! it is 2014 and there are still places in this America I cant go because of my skin.

I face facts as they are. I have been to churches that did not want me there because of my skin color. I have a PhD and barely have a job. I live in a place where people smile in your face and yell crucify him behind your back. The op was just shedding light on how much things have not changed or how things are perceived as some agreed with the statements that this man made. The truth of the matter is this all this posturing aside heaven will be a jambalaya of races but all on one accord with one agenda not like it is here. Yeah I'm done with this because we will never see eye to eye on this we cant. You're looking through a different set of eyes than me. But note to yourself all eyes see color unless you're color blind. Just some thouhts

You do not know every struggle each person in this country has had to go through. Your struggles may be worse than some, and some may be worse than yours.
Its still bad sister
Never said it wasn't

did you really absorb the op for what is really was or did you see something completely different than what was being said.
I knew what Bundy said before David posted it on CC. I developed my view on the issue was well long before it appeared here. I already said the statement was in bad taste, and never condoned his comments. What I did say is that it looked like he was talking about a specific group of people who abuse the system and refuse to work. Not all black people, and I also added he was wrong to single out blacks. People of all colors abuse the system, and I never said racism did not exist in this day. Never once indicated it.

I have never put a label on people because they were white they put their own label on themselves.
Those individuals do not speak of all white people. Those individuals labeled themselves as an individual. Not as a whole group.

I am and will always be a black man in this watered down version of America.
I agree with you on this one. Very watered down.

I have very clear and vivid memories of that cross burning in my front yard at eight years old by white christain men they said
Which is horrible. I hate that happened and you and your family did not deserve that. No one did.
Don't you dare tell me I don't know racism or try to equate your lineage of many different ethnicity to my plight as a black man you have no idea!
I never once said you don't know what racism is, and never compared my struggles to you or anyone. I said you don't know the struggles of others as in people as a whole, and you don't know every one's story. NEither do I.

I face facts as they are. I have been to churches that did not want me there because of my skin color. I have a PhD and barely have a job. Why are you trying to look at me as your enemy? Not looking through the same set of eyes as you? Well you have pretty much said I have no idea what it is like since I am white so how could I?
You are an intelligent man. You are an educated man. You are a Christian man. Take a stand against what is going on. If you are treated as bad as you say it is ILLEGAL! Take legal action! Racism will likely never become extinct, but you can do something to make is less prevalent for the future generations.

For finality and closure on this subject. Sister you are not my enemy at all. Ignorance on the other hand is. We have the same core values of who we serve I got to believe. I am called to another office than you and I walk in that office each day. For me this is the fun part. The other stuff is a mess.

I love the Jesus part, teaching ,learning, studying, but this life is hard stuff. I do as told by the Holy Spirit I try to walk a good walk and fight a good fight but make no mistake I do fight that is what soldiers do. Sometimes we fight for others who can't fight for themselves. Not everyone is called into battle on the front lines some work behind the lines in support roles.

I have been there literally behind enemy lines in the natural now in the spiritual I take this seriously my life and the lives of them I am charged with depend on it. Be blessed.
