Oh yeah, been listening to Extol? ;) Yes, but I truly agree about that they are Very Godfocused, and well, I like their "heavy-ness" too :D

i've only heard one song from extol, and i dont even remember what it sounds like. i'll have to listen to them again.
 
there are so many really Good christian metal bands out there u just need to find them , just u need to watch at times like their is this band blessthefall and they were christian but in one of there newer songs 'To hell and back' they curse in it and in an interview they said that they are christian anymore so show that fame can ruin your faith .

Bump

There is a relatively new band called Before There Was Rosalyn. They've stated that they're "a ministry first and a band second." I really enjoy their music. I can't find anything on YouTube, but here are the lyrics for my favourite song by them called "The Architect."

Evenescence went out saying they were not christian. they just said it so they could get to a certain level of fame then they came out

um...in the 90s, evanescence was a Christian band...then amy and ben split as the band changed direction....
 
FM Static is a great band, although most of their songs arent metal. Not many people realize that they are a christian band since most everywhere u look they are labaled "Alternative", and I think one reason they havent become any more popular than they are is because from a secular perspective, their lyrics dont make a whole lot of sense, but when you listen to them from a christian point of view, they're AMAZING!!!! I used to take a guy home from work years ago and he didn't know the Lord. I would play a christian rock band and he let me know that he liked it. I told him that it was Christian and he said, " realy I wouldn't have known," or something like that. Just goes to show that no one listens to it for the words, but the music. The Christian words are just used to try to jusify it. Go to utube and watch the series "They sold their souls for Rock n roll"

that's what i was posting about....evanescence is a band that was Christian until they saw the gleam of the money, and then they actually denied their Christian roots and requested their CDs be pulled from Christian retailers....that was the post i was originally responding to....ben moody actually wanted the band to remain at least spiritual, if not Christian, and amy lee refused, and she got the rest of the band behind her....
