I hope they are not just going off the picture alone to say that it didn't happen though. And I hope no one on cc who doesn't know him actually took the time to look into it and research that picture. Because that would make me very uncomfortable with this site.
Scott, I've been on CC now since 2009 and have come to know some of the mods as real people. When you spend enough time here and hang around the site for a while, you'll come to see that they don't take action without good reason. The only times I've been frustrated here are when it's been the other users are blatantly disrespecting or abusing the general audience here, not the mods. I can only speak from my own experience but I think this site has some exceptional administrative team members.
Keep in mind too, they voluntarily work hard to police thousands of people here who come every day. I sure wouldn't want to have to deal with that in addition to the responsibilities of my everyday life. As regular users, I'm sure we have no idea of a fraction of the things the mods have to face and make decisions about. I've known many people in administrative positions and when you start to hear some of their stories... you realize how much they have to deal with.
And, I'm speaking as someone who once received an infraction here myself. But I feel the mod who did so was very fair about it.
You never know what it really entails until you've been there. Welcome to the site and I think you'll have some very positive experiences here!!
I'm really glad the administration posted what they did about this situation because I was seriously thinking of encouraging taking up a collection for this user and am SO glad all of this came out before hand.
