Still feeling a bit nauseous from my flu shot. So I am getting in trouble at work for calling in sick:

I felt sick and decided that I should stay home from work so I called the overnight staff at 2am, and asked if he could stay a few hours extra until my boss comes in the morning to make sure supports are in place. He agreed. Because he would go into overtime, the protocol is that I need approval from the on-call manager. However, she directly told me that she would be upset if I had called her at 2am to wake her up just for shift approval. So I didn't call. I ended up passing out and didn't wake until after my shift started. I called the on-call manager to get approval after the fact. She said that she couldn't.

The next day, I get an email from my boss that they want me to come into head office to discuss. I was livid. I sent an email stating that I couldn't call. And that I would love to know what to do. Because I can only call for approval after my shift had already started. I'm pissed, cus I did what I could do with the option that was only available. But because I didn't follow protocol, I am being called in. I better not get written up for this. It's not rational that I am getting in trouble.

not that i would eat pork and beans (or baked beans for that matter) on the basis that i prefer my vegetables without a hearty side of sugar/molasses/syrup/sugaryitems, or with random and weird looking chunks of congealed pork fat floating around.

p.s. on the other hand, i adore banana bread! sometimes i put mini chocolate chips in it...

Pork and beans has to be one of the most disgusting foods. I can't handle that big chunk of whatever it is they put in there. Eww.

Ha ha, not just you Green. I lurketh. It's snowy out, trolling CC and listening to music. I have nothing better to do at 1 in the afternoon :P
 
I'm thinking of doing some experimentation with green beans, olive oil, and this gluten-free seasoned flour I have in the pantry. I'm thinking I could make something that's healthier than chips, but tastes nice and crunchy and has some good flavor to it, and it might be lower in carbohydrates and other junk.

Maybe just say that to God you don't know how all this is going to work out but you are have made the decision to trust God min the midst of all this, continue to do what you can and trust that God has you smothered and covered you just do not see this for now, and are willing to learn
Love to you, it will come together, even if you don't trust, God is trustworthy

When I was a little girl, if I had a temper tantrum my Dad would sing this song to me, always made me laugh. I now sing it to my kids. :)

NOw, if only that duck, kenthom, would come on here so I can make more fun of him. Just so he knows, I got this new book yesterday, it is soooo goood, it's called. 'Duck Soup For The Soul' And, let me tell you, these stories are INSPIR-ER-ER-IN ! !! And, wait'll you get a load of the recipes at that back of the book !!! Duck soup recipes like you wouldn't believe :D

That chair looks comfy. I've read a few of those soup for the soul books. I agree, very inspirational. Good, tug at the heart kinds of stories. :)

Yeah,abigailjeannie, heart-wrenching some, fun reads others, There's a 'Duck soup for the Christian Soul' even. Hey, yeah, they are highly inspirational, makes one leave a reading time feeling quite ducky, really. I mean, so to speak :D Oh wait, it's 'Chicken Soup for the Soul,' . DOH ! What was I thinking ! Maybe, I have to go finish off those leftovers of duck soup to get my head thinkin' clearly.....

I think, kenthom (that duck) might be jumping out of his skin, uh, I mean, feathers, right about now, might even be sounding a little like Elmer Fudd.....

I think if everyone had to work in customer service and the food industry (fast food/restaurant) for one month, the world would be a better, more patient and understanding place. Some people just get in a tizzy over the dumbest stuff, or expect me to do everything FOR them.
 
I'm going to Costco to shop and eat lunch for free, too, while there.

How so, green, you might be asking?

Samples day ! :) I can fill up on all kinds of taco bites, pasta pockets, enchilda, turkey, duck (just kidding on the duck, never seen that sample there) morsels, and, drinks, even ice cream, and, some Saturdays the Vitamix guy even shows up :D
 
I'm trying to buy tickets for Disney Princess's on Ice, it's tomorrow, I'm going for the cheap seats for my daughter and I, I can't seem to figure out the lay out of this events center. ugh!

customer service.. what would I tell everyone RTFM
food industry, nope I dont make food for anyone.
