I'm going through a weird situation here on CC at the moment and the constant recurring thought i have is "men are so dumb"...LOL sorry guys, its not how I usually think about my brothers in Christ but this situation crazy.
God bless all the brothers in Christ and on CC
Now I'm intrigued! We have so many wise men (and women!) here that I wonder what would bring you to that conclusion. . .

I know it's Wednesday, but it feels like Sunday. I'm going to remind myself a million times tomorrow that it's Thursday and not Monday.

Yes! I agree! On the plus side, it's always nice realizing that you really only have ~1 day before the weekend. :)

I think I want to go completely refined sugar free this year. Not for a "I want to lose weight" New Years resolution...more like an "I'm tired of feeling like garbage" New Years resolution if I even want to call it that.

I think I'm also gonna cut out potatoes.

Random thought to self...

*wonders why eating alone is not nearly as satisfying as eating with someone even if neither of you utters one single word the entire meal?*

Funny I was thinking almost the same thing. I'm having one of those days where I don't like being alone, but I really don't want to be social. It would just be nice to be at that place in a relationship where you can just "be."

You're never "dumb," Tintin. You usually have the most pithy ideas and witty responses.
Aw, thanks, Misty! I admit though, that I sometimes unwittingly feed trolls or trollish behaviours.

Maybe we should form a support group. =)

"Hello. My name is Misty, and I am a troll-feeder"
"Hello, Misty"

Good idea, Misty. I either don't realise they're a troll or think it's my duty to stop the false teachings that go on at CC.

I do the same thing. Though I'll admit that sometimes I might instigate a fight to project certain frustrations. I live and work in a very conservative Christian environment where I have to limit my responses and put up with the inevitable "boys club." Here, I can actually say everything that I wish I could say without getting fired.

I'm sure you'll find an awesome relationship where you can just "be". I somehow can't quite envision you as one of those strange, withered outcasts of society living under a bridge somewhere with 10 cats when she's in her 70's. lol More like someone doing beach volleyball evangelism in Rio sipping strawberry daiquiris with her well tanned husband!

AMEN to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hypothetically, where would one to go to obtain one of these "well-tanned husbands"? Though that would mean that I would have to relax my no-tanning stance.

Wear sun-screen, people! All skin colors are beautiful.

From the Skin Cancer Foundation

  • Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million skin cancers in over two million people are diagnosed annually.[SUP]1
    [/SUP]
  • Each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon.[SUP]2
    [/SUP]
  • Treatment of nonmelanoma skin cancers increased by nearly 77 percent between 1992 and 2006.[SUP]1
    [/SUP]
  • Over the past three decades, more people have had skin cancer than all other cancers combined.[SUP]3

I would hate to think that is what is really going on here. if it is it would make me sad.
Tragically, it's incredibly common, and females are 90% of the victims, if I remember that statistic correctly.
[y'all all have "the google." you can look this one up on your own.]
