Link: Half the U.S. is already covered with snow - The Washington Post

Last week, snow covered more than half of the continental United States, the highest this measure has reached by this date in a decade, according to government scientists.

As of Dec. 15, snow covered 53 percent of the Lower 48, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported. That’s a significantly higher portion than in recent years. In 2006, for example, snow covered just 12 percent of those states on the same date, according to Climate Central, a climate news Web site.

November and early December have also been quite chilly for much of the country, below the 20th-century average, Climate Central noted. “With the noteworthy exception of Alaska, nearly every state was affected by the unusually cold air at some point during the November-to-December timeframe,” Climate Central reported.

Of course, the north pole is still melting and the glaciers have been receding for years.

Didn't ya know when its colder than normal, that's global warming....ooops I mean climate change?

When its a lie, like Obamacare, instead of admitting it, you just change its name.

because snow = cold?

that's not true. have a look at the facts:

State of the Climate | National Climatic Data Center (NCDC)

arguing that global temperatures aren't increasing on average, extreme weather patterns aren't occuring more commonly and the poles & glaciers aren't melting is just ignorant.

arguing that it's not because of pollution is a different story.

but let's not be ignorant.

I wonder if this could be related to the fact that it is winter...

I live down in Georgia, and has been colder than usual down here also. the global warning debate is soooo tired and old. it is mostly cold in winter and hot in the summer. not that hard to figure out. but the media makes everything an " event".

A few years ago an elderly Inuit (Eskimo) was asked if he knew anything about climate change and if it had any effect on him directly to which he replied, well, you have to run faster.

We have snow covering most of Canada. Even Victoria and Vancouver got it.

I don't think this is any cause for alarm. It happens every year for most Canadians! LOL

I see the weather has changed. I don't know if it is man made or natural. I think the people who have stated it originated from man have some scientific models to back up what they state. I have not seen much though from the other side except some peanuts thrown. Less peanuts more facts needed from weather changes are natural camp.

unless someone is flat out dumb, all they have to do is look at history to see its natural cycles. Greenland was warm enough at one time to grow crops. the vikings did it.

the global warming nuts have fallen for the scam, drunk the kool aid. and well lets just say I got to question if they can even think for themself.

Interesting. According to this it seems that volcanoes regulated the temperature. So what happens when we enter a period where we have a lot of Volcanic activity along with the current output of CO2. Will we enter a cooling cycle again ? I guess time will tell.

Heat is part of the judgments described in Revelation 16:

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

I'd take heavy snowfall over freezing rain any day.
