When I was cooking for a growing family, gelatin was simply part of the meals. Only hamburger came boned, a chicken was just that: a chicken, the whole thing. Learning to cut it up was part of cooking and if you boned a piece, the bone was added to soup. We didn't think about gelatin, it was just part of how we ate. Make candies and deserts.

ummmm animal based gelatin? the one from bone marrow? Yuck that should be sin@!
You eat it every time you have stock, or fried chicken fried with the bone, or jello, or a roast made without the bone removed first.
 
I suppose gelatin is much more digest than bone broth, and with some similar health benefits.

Can I get the same benefit by eating plain (flavored) jello as in desert. I do cook my bones when making soup etc. But I guess I need to make sure we get gelatin too. Oh, there is so much to remember. Jesus come quickly.
