"i want to be a hippy and i want to get stoned on ma ma ma rijuana"

Song that sings as such. :)

Reading this day how a state has decided against the use of marijuana for terminally ill patients.
Many say marijuana is to them healing, soothing, calming and makes them gigle but there are also incredible side effects and much damage that can be done.
In scandinavia there is a whole education about the damage marijuana can do.

Although in these cases the Dr prescribes in such small quantities and maybe bake some biscuits.

What are your thoughts of such?

Is it ever good and natural if grown well and in tiny amounts under super vision or is the risk to big?

Some people respond well it seems but is that "russian roulette" ?
Maybe one day is all laughs and next day one has bad reaction to it.
What if one becomes incredible bad side effects and panics in anxiety and how much it will cost for extra staff to calm this person down.

Use and miss use.
Can be fine line?

And what medications are ok...

Some other medications given to people have now been banned.
Medicines that had such bad side effects they made rather healthy people sick.
medicines that companies whom made them paid doctors holidays and large amounts of money to prescribe them to patients.
This was in news in scandinavia.
Some times patients were given 5 different types of now illegal meds. Enough to put out a horse given to small humans.
Some times it may of been used to get control of a person and dominate there will and money.
This was proven.
When so much money is involved equals lots people were a part of it.
Restraint occured and even trafficking patients and many other things.

Back to marijuana.
How do you feel about this?

Good make clothes from and maybe skin care produce but how about consuming it legally if one is in pain?

Some people with adhd are prescribed amphetamine legally to help them this also to me seems strange and not the right "drug" medicine to use or right approach.

Any time a doctor prescribes a drug, that drug has positive and negative effects. Even antibiotics that saves lives also kills the friendly bacteria in the intestine that must be replaced. Any drug needs to be understood.

Even if marijuana had some benefits, the damaging side effects are so many and so serious, it is not worth it. It even affects the personality, almost any other drug is superior.

Well, as an ex-stoner myself, my experiences with the stuff have been devastating.

Like RedTent said, it affects the personality. It completely changed mine over a course of 4 years. I stopped caring about things like eating right, exercising, education, work, and God.

Some people believe that it's non-addictive.

BZZZ! Wrong. It's highly physically and psychologically addictive.

I stopped dreaming at night. I chose it over the people I loved, I stole to get more of it. If I didn't have any, my mind was occupied with finding ways and means to get more.

It was ONLY because of Jesus that I got out of all that.

Of course Marijuana has some amazing medicinal qualities for people who really really need it.

i pretty much agree with all that DorothyG has to say-everything.

sometimes there are cases where it should be allowed as a medication, otherwise... i advise against it, for the very reasons the previous poster stated.

it is dangerous, except for special cases when it is beneficial as a medicine.

I disagree with that, I quit smoking it obviously.......but I was a recreational smoker during pretty much my entire teenage life and I've associated with lots of smokers. The only negative side effects I've ever seen anybody experience is over-indulging (Anything can be abused though, so can air freshener) and there are some people that just don't enjoy it because it tends to make them anxious.

Scientifically, it's actually proved more effective than most other drugs for a lot of different things. I'm not saying it's completely harmless, but it really isn't anywhere near as dangerous as people like to claim. Addiction is the biggest factor, but it's also the easiest habit to kick when it comes to drug addiction.

According to WebMD, a website so reliable doctors use it, the side affects of marijuana smoking are many. Rapid heart rate Increased blood pressure Increased rate of breathing Red eyes Dry mouth Increased appetite, or "the munchies" Slowed reaction time This wears off after several hours, but the lingering affects of one time smoking it can hang on for weeks.

Psychological effects include: Distorted sense of time Paranoia Magical or "random" thinking Short-term memory loss anxiety and depression

These effects can ease after a few hours or last for days. The risk goes up after each use, and increases and lasts longer with frequent use.

The people who use this drug don't notice these things about themselves, but people around them who do not use it do.

We found we could not hire people who had used it on our fishing boat because of their slow reaction time and lack of alertness when there were times that life depended on these qualities.

That makes me giggle. It surely does. We would have emergencies on our fishing dragger needing fast reactions, and the emergencies were met with absolute calm and no action by those who had smoked the stuff.
