Because God doesn't speak in JUST English languages perhaps? Because God didn't speak in only 17th century english? Because the language changes over time. Examples: Submit/Prevent...have changed meaning over time. I can think of millions zillion more reasons. Don't get me wrong. I love the form the KJV is written in due to its rhythmic sense...but some of the words there just aren't used anymore...and I have no clue what they mean...some of them haven't been used since the 1800s. I can go on and on.

The english used in the 1611 KJV was around in 1599, which is the 16th century.

I honestly can't believe this is starting again. I thought we'd dealt with this. Nothing's wrong with it Kerry. Go off and read it. No one's stopping you.

But honestly, if I were to take your last sentence at face value, I would say that God wrote the Bible in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. God doesn't change, so why do we need to change his word? Off you go, go read your Greek Bible now.

Also, you cannot quote one passage from the Bible that says professing Christians are going to hell for not using KJV english.

This seems like a good time to whip out some of the KJV only fun facts.

Fun fact #1: Jesus did not preach KJV only.
Fun fact #2: The translators of the KJV were not KJV onlyists.
Fun fact #3: KJV was not the first english translation of the Bible, despite what KJV onlyists say.

I'm so tired of KJV people. They seem to think that Jesus and His Apostles used the KJV. The really sad thing is they make this a major doctrine. Bible translations are not doctrines or a matter of fellowship.

So your a dummy, can't help that. I guess some people need things simplified. What will you do with the old rugged cross or will amazing grace fade away. The bible that has stood for 1,000 years you toss away and rely on the profits of a new idiot version. May God bless you and keep you. Could you ever read the Psalms the same. I pray for those left behind me.

I recall one topic from a while ago where a KJV onlyist listed 20 or so priorities for Christian beliefs, and believing in KJV onlyism was ranked higher on his scale than believing that Jesus died for our sins.

So, resorting to insults and having a superiority complex akin to the Pharisees. More reasons I'll never be a KJV onlyist. There is something very (spiritually) wrong with the KJV onlyists, but I can never quite put my finger on it.

According to your logic then, you shouldn't be a KJV onlyist, as the KJV wasn't the first english translation.

Its the first one I read, maybe God blessed me with more intelligence than others. I have no need of a new idiots version. I can also program in c++ but I have no need of programming in C for dummies, I could rewrite the book. But why would I , when it right there in my face and it is called the King James version.

Why is it that Kjv onlyist can not just read their bible and not insult the new versions ? When you call the NIV , the new idiots version you are really calling all people that love and use the NIV idiots. Is that a Christian attitude ? Maybe you should read your King James Version and stop with the insults. Would Jesus approve of you calling people idiots?

Austie ifv the Hymns are okay why not he KJ. Why are you so deviant against it. That causes me to wonder. I am against the NIV for one my radar was raised and why change it was there something wrong with it. Why change the cross, why change Amazing grace, why change Oh how I love Jesus. what is the need . bible for dummies or what
