Just went and looked (Cat has turned us all in to FB stalkers!), and you do! A pretty red skirt indeed. But you know what really jumped out at me from those two pics...I know you've mentioned on here before (waaaaay back in the spring) that you were petite...like, 5'0 or 5'2 or something...and in those pic, with the German Shepard in your lap, you REALLY get a sense of that. Either that, or that fuzzy mutt is huge, because it looks like you could almost saddle him like a horse. ^_^

(There may be a couple of other CC'ers who suddenly discover the side effect of when we go trouncing about each other's FB. ^_^)

I'm only 5.6...not nearly as tall as people perceive me to be and small framed (123 lbs).;) But that IS a huge german shepherd mix doggie. :)

I just stalked you too. I almost didn't recognize you in the newer pics with your hair short. It's nice!
 
Thanks! After 3 months, I'm halfway used to it. ^_^

Okay - he's a MIX. That would explain the size, because if you're 5'6, then he's definitely bigger than a pure German shepherd. What other breeds is he crossed with?
 
I'm not sure. She was a rescued doggie. All of them were. A friend of mine operates a doggie rescue and I help as much as I can. :) They may be big as wolves, but they are big snuggly babies :)
 
I really need a dog now after reading this.

Cats are a poor substitution....and so difficult to herd.
 
Ugh. I'm actually downloading iTunes. I hate that I had to ask for an Apple product for my classroom, but it really does help. But the iPad still hasn't turned me to the dark side, and until it can prove it's significantly better than any of Apple's alternatives, I just can't see it happening. But having to install iTunes (so I can update the thing from iOS 4) on my machine feels a little like selling a tiny part of my soul to the Cult of Jobs. *smirk*
 
I'm enjoying instant noodles in a margarine bowl, while watching Grumpy Old Men on a Saturday morning. It's kinda brisk outside, here in ******** Lake, Ontario. Naturally the air is clean, being surrounded with trees and lakes and all. Lately the internet has been so slow.The IT guy isn't a professional, but has some computer savvy skills. I wish he'd do a better job at setting it up. I need to go clean up my grandmother's house. Since the younger residences there don't like cleaning up their own mess or helping the old woman who graciously houses them: I might as well go do that for them. But, I can relate to their problem. *looks around room* Maybe I need to manage my own riches.
 
It's 9 degrees Celsius (48 F) outside right now, cool wind gusting at 42km/hr through my window. It's grey and a little rainy. And I'm snuggled up in a warm blanket sipping on tea with a kitty beside me and I think I will spend the whole day this way.
 
I'm creating an army of fb stalkers...? Bwahahaha!!! All part of my genius plan!

And I was talking to a friend that knew the Mom (well, not sure if she was a real life friend, but definitely facebook friend) and messaged me about it since I shared a photo that brought the subject up. I'd wager the safest response is to bypass referring to them as man/woman/kid/baby/etc... and just say 'i didn't know them'.
Or 'i didn't know them well'. There is no need to reference their age or gender. This keeps the statement more neutral and won't have a tone to misinterpret.

Yeah, next time I'll be going with that. Lesson learned. I don't think the person I talked to was super offended since she didn't act like it...might have been just giving me a heads up. As I said earlier... I do a fabulous job messing up. Whether it's in what I say or do. At least someone is willing to give me a head's up. :p
 
Amazon rocks. I had an issue with a shipment and actually found a place to contact them, received a response immediately, and got the shipment moved expedited at no additional cost to me. Yay!

Shour, our household just received an iphone, and now I'm reminded again of how Apple "does not play well with others". It sure takes great pictures though. OH, and we went to see Gravity in 3D last night, and it was amazing. Definitely on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Raining off and on all day today. My morning gig went great, now heading to evening gig. It's the weekend! WOOT!

This reminds me of one time this summer when we were at a public pool and my daughter spotted a really tan, younger guy, with a big beard who was about to jump off the diving board. As he jumped into a beautiful flip/spin/twist/dive my daughter gasps and yells out, "MOMMY! It's a PIRATE!" I'm pretty sure I laughed for 5 minutes. ^__^
 
The Celestial Embassy

An echoing sound announced the sudden arrival of midnight as ten people were gathering outside an old Victorian house in that very moment. The few pedestrians who were passing by stared at them with astonished eyes, as if those people were not part of their community. An old woman carrying some grocery bags, started pointing at them with fiery eyes telling them to leave the place immediately. But the guests weren't listening to her. Not at all.

The sound of a very rusty gate was heard and then a heavy door was opened to reveal the face of an old man. His face was completely covered by tears as he extended his hand to invite them to come in. The group walked in silently without saying any word. When the last one entered the tiny living room, the old man locked the door up.

When He sat down in one fluffy sofa, all the others looked at him with sadness. The place was absolutely silent.

-Things are not going well-

-What happened?-

-The Christian Churches of the East supported Calindropos. They deny the coming persecution. They are convinced we are causing chaos by telling people things would change if the country does not repent-

-I can't believe it- said a middle-aged man seated in front of him -Calindropos is just giving them a false security-

-I know- replied the old man -There was nothing that I could do to change their minds-

-I just heard a preacher saying that peace was flourishing in the country and that God showed him in a vision that He was pleased with this city- said a young woman seated in the corner of a big sofa -People are just drinking every word he says-

-They are selling their fate for bigger and expensive temples and they haven't realized of it. Tallestria is becoming a corrupt country-

-The recent events, the last week strike, the presidential debate and the suppression of the Bible in schools are clear signs of a plan to exterminate the church. Why they are so blind to see it?-said a tall man standing next to a small chimney.

-Satan does not show up at your door to tell you his plans. He moves around weakness and deception. Darkness is his favorite area and he will make sure his plan is running at a terrific speed. And we have to admit he's winning territory- said another woman

-We must act quickly. This news are holding us back a great deal. I personally think we must pray more-

-I think we have prayed enough James- said a squared-jawed man standing in front of a wooden shelf -What we need is action by our part. Honestly, we've been hiding like rats in a pipeline instead of denouncing in public what has been happening-

-James, James..think. The police are looking for us now. We can't be martyrs just to show off as Christians. We need God's strength. We can't do this by ourselves-

-So, what you are suggesting is that we stay here like good christians while out there our church supporters are going to jail and being questioned about our whereabouts. Is that what you are telling us?-

-There's no reason to start arguing here- said an old woman next to James -We are the church and we're supposed to be united as one. What we must do is to shut our mouths up and listen to God's voice. I agree with Tandrux, we must seek the face of God-

-One more thing. I also called you here to tell you something important-

The whispers and disagreements died at once as the old man called Demenius started talking.

-We will have help. We're not alone-

-Help? What do you mean by help? God is our help!

-For goodness sake Craig! And do you think God does not use people?-

-We have trusted The Eastern Church Assembly and it turned out to be a huge mistake- said a young man seated in the right corner of a large couch -Why do you think this help you talk about will be different?-

-Because it came unannounced- replied Demenius -They came to my house to tell me that we were right and that we should not give in-

-I don't know where do you choose your friends Demenius but you have to admit we're running in circles. We're going nowhere!- snapped James

-And that's exactly where God wants us to be...nowhere. We've trusted too much in ourselves. It's time to change that-

-And who are they, anyway?-

-They are a group of intercessors. They have more than fifteen churches around the country that are doing the same we're doing. Their name is the Celestial Embassy.
 
I usually don't have much to complain about when it comes to neighbors. But tonight, these people are a couple houses down, and they're throwing a party...in their front yard. And pretty sure alcohol is involved. They won't stop hollering and talking in their loudest voices. I'm not against most parties, but I'm against gatherings with alcohol and multiple people after 10 pm.

I so hope and pray our house sells the week we put it on the market.
