Anytime we deal internationally in our best interests, conflicts and hypocrisies pop up. Its the nature of diplomacy.

Its the nature of diplomacy for every country.

This is how the world works, sometimes the enemies of your enemies are your friends....and sometimes they are not.

Yes acting on best interests also happen in society. That is why you have police.

Accountability is what is required. The US is spiralling out of control because it acts without impunity just as a criminal would become more bold in a society without police.

The U.S. Military Killed Hundreds of Thousands of Japanese Civilians with Napalm from 1944 – 1945

The US dropped enough napalm in one bombing raid on Tokyo to burn 100,000 people to death, injure a million more, and leave a million without homes in the single deadliest air raid of World War II.

Oh, com on, the Japanese were not choir boys either. That's why they say war (real war, as in WWII) is hell.

Correction, the Japanese soldiers were not choir boys. We don't presume the same for the women and children that killed in their many thousands at home.

I also tire of the US involvement and its hypocritical stance to justify our involvement with global conflicts. What about the half million Vietnamese the US killed by spraying Agent Orange defoliant during the Vietnam War? Not to mention another half million thought to have been born with birth defects decades later...

How about the involvement of US during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan where they funded millions of dollars to help train the Mujahideen (warriors of Allah) to fight off the Communists. Then decades later saw the rise of the Taliban which grew in strength as a direct result of American aid who then commit numerous terrorist attacks including 9/11. And then to go invade and break down what we helped build.

Unless you suggest we isolate ourselves from the world, which has been tried by the way and was a complete disaster, these situations will happen.

We funded the enemies of our enemies to fight them. Then, they turned on us, probably not a surprise. Then, we took care of them.

You can sit in an ivory tower and say this and this should not happen, but in the real world, this happens all the time. Its a dirty nasty place and ONLY a strong military can protect us, even from our short time allies.

If not for soldiers all pacifists would be in prison camps. That's the world we live in.

So it is alright to commit war crimes because you are the police of the world ?

The people that created the US were exceptional people. George Washington refused to lower himself and his men to the standard of the British. Look at the leaders you have now.

The Army Tested Chemicals on Residents of Poor, Black St. Louis Neighborhoods in The 1950s

The lame excuse of committing war crime to fight the enemy evaporates away when you see what the US government has done to its own people.

In the mid-1950s, and again a decade later, the Army used motorized blowers atop a low-income housing high-rise, at schools and from the backs of station wagons to send a potentially dangerous compound into the already-hazy air in predominantly black areas of St. Louis. The material being sprayed was zinc cadmium sulfide, a fine fluorescent powder.

Why ?

Because it bore some resemblance to Russian cities that the U.S. might attack.

Doris Spates was a baby when her father died inexplicably in 1955. She has watched four siblings die of cancer, and she survived cervical cancer.

This is what the government does to its own people. How can you expect anything better to the civilians outside its borders.

Declassified Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents detail the business relationships between certain U.S. prison gangs and Mexican cartels and Mexican cartels recruiting assassins among American teens, prison gangs, and the U.S. military. This is occurring at the same time Democrats are trying to disarm American law abiding citizens.

Mexican Cartels Recruiting Assassins Among US Teens, Prison Gangs, Military

So the US needs to do something about Syria but ignores itself. I get sick of the hypocrisy of the "civilised" countries often. It is so in your face these days. I am not sure why people are happy to ignore it all and let their government continue to commit war crimes and aid others in committing war crimes.

Can someone please remove the splinter from the eye of the US !

If that is the kind of website information you believe, its no wonder your opinions border on the ludicrous.

No facts given, only anecdotal information. Its a make believe article to push an agenda.

It seems reading comprehension is not only an american fault.

I may not like the leadership as much. But I still like my country . I'm starting to be more reluctant to bash the US because, I see Russia and other Countries doing the same. Like Russian media like RT. If I bash my country I feel I might as well just join the Russians. And the Bible says, they will attack this country in the future at some point .

OK you are in denial. :)

I am not sure what you would regard as a reliable source. For me Western Media is unreliable.

Is it the case that some peoples lives are worth more than others ? If it happened in the US it would not be considered piddly.

I am not going to apologize for everything my country has done more than by saying I am sorry these things. I am sorry that a complex, fallen world drives us to turn a blind a to atrocities. I'm sorry also that our feckless leaders do not grasp the complexity of it all either.

I'm also sorry that our missteps as a people have clouded the fundamentally good things we have done. Once half the world was under Communism. It isn't anymore. A highly productive nation with genocidal maniacs as leaders sought to rush across the earth like Alexander. We played a large part in stopping them.

The fundamental question we must ask when looking at America's major interventions (save very recent ones) is simple: would your country be better off underneath the heel of her principle foes? Would the earth be better off? No. Your welcome.

youre talking about something nearly 70 years old that pales in comparison than something we did less than 2 years later. It was war we used napalm...and bombs. Whats the point? It happened 70 years ago.
