That is true. But, what is it that scripture shows us that defines Jesus as the υἱὸν. What is it that makes him such? I certainly has nothing to do with adoption or origin.

Can I ask, Does any of you people read the question, rather than other people's answers? The question is: " is Jesus God " John 10: 30 clearly answers it. don't try interpret the bible your own way, just accept it as is.

Do you know what the "one" refers to in that passage?

Jesus is God ! Yes ! Check 1John4 also. This is the test of spirituality. Jesus asked Peter:" Who do you say that I am ?" in Mattew chapter 16. Jesus is God ! This is only revealed by divine revelation. Jesus went on to say " flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but my Father in heaven revealed this to you."

Do you?.........................................
To answer it, yes It's Jesus, Who do you think it is?

Jesus expresses all of this again in John 14:11, 20.

11 "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me"
20 "In
that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

Philippians 2: 5-11, says that who being nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness, and being found in appearance as a man Humbled Himself and became obedient to death even death on a cross, therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every name should bow in heaven and under the earth and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

If you do not know I will be happy to look at the text with you. If you say it means they are one God, this is merely an indirect implication of how "one" is related to the context.

I don't need anyone's explanations, I just believe what it says in the bible, and that the only explanation I will want to hear. sorry.

Jesus is of the same substance as the Father. Scripture affirms this truth ! Also, church history affirms this doctrine. Check the Nicean Creed.

Jesus is God and who did pray to as He often did. Did Jesus pray to Himself if so why when He knew the answer berfore He prayed. Yall some mixed up folks i pray that God helps you cause yall tow up.

Jesus the Man prayed to His Father.

P.S. The Word, Creator Himself, become flesh.

Those who are messed up (not understanding correctly) are those who do not see that it was the Word who became flesh and in that role, He was the Son. I hope and pray that I have not illegally parked, I would hate to get "tow up".

Evening brothers. Yeshuah ha Messiach is our King and Saviour . He is The Only God in the universe. So The Written Word teach us and so The Holy Spirit proclaim to us. Rejoice in Him brothers . Shalom

Would anyone be interested in having a transcribed discussion about this over email? This is the perfect time to try to convert a non-Trinitarian. I find discussion boards to be a little too messy because everyone is spewing out so many things at once. PM me if you are interested

This is just bait to hook some well meaning christian into a debate where Antioni will try to convert you into his cult. I have no time to play games. Only God can show a person who He is. Total waste of time.

We are one with Jesus, that's if Jesus in you. But the question is? " Is Jesus God? John 10: 30 answers it.
My point was that I don't think it does answer it, because of the other way we can use the phrase "being one with each other".

That's true. Strong's says it applies to many other situations as well:apparently a primary word; a "son" (sometimes of animals), used very widely of immediate, remote or figuratively, kinship:--child, foal, son

So what does Scripture show us about that use, and how does that Scripture prove Jesus is God?

Jesus did not say Peter was right.

Ken,

I am curious, seeing that you are knowledgeable, what do the Jews make of the following found in the Old Testament: Kiss the hand of the Son while He is yet a little angry? What do they make of the "Messenger (Angel) of the Lord", as compared to the Messenger He sent with a new Covenant, do they connect this Messenger as one and the same?

i do not have any knowledge on the first. I assume it refers to the son of the landlord of your property, not to the Son of God. It probably underlies Jesus' parable, about the onwer sending servant after servant, and then his son. In Ps. 2:12 it is of course prophetic of Jesus, but there is no reason for the Jews to acknolwedge that. Until one knows jesus, there is no reason to believe Messiah will be an actual pre-existent Son of God. It works in context as using an earthly custom to determine the deference we owe God.

All I know about the angel of the Lord is that it sometimes refers to a being (angel like Michael) and can also refer to a man. Since the Hebrew word is the same for both, one often cannot tell what is meant. Consider the confusion in the original text about the destoryers of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is used in so many contexts. I have never heard of the Messiah being termed an angel. Everything I have heard is that Messiah is called Messiah. Since most of the Jews did not acknowledge Jesus as either, there are very few writings on the subject. The few Jews who did (the original Jerusalem Church) have been pretty much lost to history.
