Because...apparently, you can only talk about Christ with a girl you're in a relationship with?

Man, that's confusing. I'mma have to go read all of Paul's, Peter's, John's, and James' epistles again. I had no idea those letters were only written to their wives.

(Not trying to start the debate about whether or not Paul had a wife. Being facetious.)

Doll, you just think it's entertaining when I get all worked up. I know what you and Cristen and Rach and Catlynn are really after. You've already got the tubs of popcorn ready. ^_^

Boy, devout yourself to a life of prayer and get filled with his spirit. Girls will only get in your way and delay what ever purpose he has with you. Wait on God if you're desperate.

It totally is. That's what I thought when I first saw it..."Wait, what kind of person goes searching for teenage girls on the interwebs? Hmm..."

The answer is generally creepers.

You're 16. Are you financially ready to get married? Are you spiritually ready to be a leader in the household? Are you emotionally and mentally ready to deal with a female? (That last question is in jest, but only sort of).

If your answer is "But I'm only 16, I don't need to think about marriage", then my answer would be "Then you don't need to think about dating."

Like all girls are SOOO bad.
Girls are terrible. Except when we're cute and sweet...which is also terrible, because it means we're just resting in between our terrible times.

...calm down, I'm kidding...

I was gonna stay away (mostly because you're so close to my age), but my observation, as a single, teen, Christian girl:

Your nickname is BackSliddenChristian. Seems to me you're spiritually unstable right now. And your thought process is getting a strong Christian girlfriend will remedy this. But girls aren't problem solvers. YOU are supposed to lead HER, not the other way around. You need to find a guy youth leader that can mentor you and help you get to where you need to be spiritually.

Also, being the same age as you, I know that teenagers are in no way ready to date. We're trying to graduate, get good grades, keep up with friends, and keep up with our relationship with Christ. And most of us don't marry who we date in high school. All it does is cause heartbreak.

I'm a senior this year. I skipped a grade. I'm gonna work my butt off to get my high school work done in the first semester of school, then go do post-secondary at the local college and get my general education out of the way, and get a part-time job throughout the year. You think I'm gonna have time to look for a nice, Christian guy? You better believe I won't.

As much as I believe God might have someone out there for me, I also believe that I need to set priorities. And a good strong Christian girl hopefully isn't going to be in a relationship with a guy that isn't as strong in the faith as her.

I don't mean to sound harsh, and this isn't meant to be harsh. This is just meant to be straight-forward and matter of fact.

Welcome to CC. :) You're free to use the forums to look for a relationship, but that's not really the main purpose of why we're all here. I recommend browsing around the threads and getting involved in the community first. Enjoy yourself, and hopefully you can be encouraged in your faith. Also, I recommend checking out the teen forum if you're interested in talking with more people closer to your age, but remember you're welcome here as well.

To be honest I do think 16 is too young to be looking for a relationship, but I do commend you for at least knowing that you want a girl who loves and follows The Lord.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums!

Do you want to know something creepy about Pepsi? ...i may not be here for awhile to say it, so; did u know the pepsi symbol stands for The Next Generation? ...Did you know if you take the word pepsi and turn it upside down and backwards and pronounce it-it says something? ...to do it for you it'll look like "!sded." if you pronounce it, it says "is dead." so, "The Next Generation Is Dead." think about it...pepsi was made like 1898 or something too

i believe its best to wait for you to meet someone after u both have finished school, got both ur lives started for yourselves, and are at least in your mid 20's to make a friendship for a few years and if it is the right person then get married in your 30's

If women do that, they give up their good child-producing years. You also suffer through the peak sex drive years and end up getting married anyway. One reason to marry is to 'avoid fornication' which sounds like a case for younger marriage rather than older. Old enough to support a wife (just barely, trusting God-- no need for stacks of money) seems to be a good strategy, IMO.

Some of those godly girls want to marry godly men who would be a good leaders. Why not get a stronger relationship with the Lord and then start a relationship with a girl when you are at a point where you are able to actually get married?
