Liberal and conservative. Black and white. When an incident occurs involving two people of different races the media does what it does best: distracting people from real issues. It doesnt matter whether or not you support Zimmerman or Martin the fact of the matter is that the media has successfully manipulated you into taking a side, and successfully added to the division that exists in our society. It doesnt matter whether you read the blaze or cnn, the fact of the matter is that both have their agendas that end up doing the same thing. Both seek to make groups of people feel victimized or marginalized, even though this may or may not be true in the given situation. The point is to create division and discourage dialog by demonizing the other side and making communication seem impossible or unreasonable. This creates division. And when people are too busy arguing and fighting among themselves they aren't paying attention to actual problems affecting our society such as corruption in government and business, social issues such as poverty, unemployment, healthcare, and education.

On and on and on it goes. Where's Obama and Sharpton? Well, the trend occurring today doesn't fit their script. They had to look past the enormous number of THESE instances that are occurring regularly to find one that fit their script.

Trayvon wasn't a young boy. He was 17 almost 18. I was in boot camp at that age and definitely not a "young boy." That's a misrepresentation you have chosen to make.

Trayvon also trained mixed martial arts and his social media showed that he like to fight even wanting to go back and beat up one of his previous victims again because he didn't "bleed badly enough the first time" for him.

Instead of going to his father's house (he had been kicked out of his mother's house for fighting at school, stealing, drug abuse, disrespecting her, etc...) and simply closing the door or taking the cell phone he had on him and calling the police he lie in wait and then violently attacked George Zimmerman, mounted him MMA style, and rained down punches from the mounted position with all his might while verbally telling neighbor hood watch George that he was going to die today.

You're living in a fantasy David_1. The media created the fantasy and people like you live in it. Next time, watch the video at least before commenting.
How about you also type in zimmermans background and the things he did like attacking a cop, and being reported for domestic violence. Why do you try so hard to be biased? I think its both their faults but its like you love to spew your propaganda.

Haven't seen that at all.

This is like the bounty, 100,000 dollars, for any video or audio evidence of racial slurs at a Tea Party gathering after false allegations, once again, that conservatives are racists.

So far no one has collected on that money.

I know this is radical and controversial but, there really is a difference between rhetoric and fact.
You have a internet connection use it go on youtube look at all the comments, now go on cnn, or fox news look at the videos of the trayvon incident and now look at the comments. Watch fox news look how they constantly refer to trayvon as a gang member and what not. Its not that hard before you accuse me of making stuff up go and google it its not that hard.

Trayvon actually had more advantages than I had growing up. Immediately after returning to Los Angeles at 16 from an orphanage in another state after my dad finally found me I went to the corner store for the first time to get a Time magazine and a Coke (I wasn't trying to make some "lean" like Trayvon was).

The local store was a 7-12. Heard of those? I didn't think so. The Hispanic owner had bought out a closed down 7-11 and turned it into a ghetto corner store with a big piece of cardboard that said 7-12 on it taped onto the window. He was looking to leverage the 7-11 brand without paying any franchise taxes.

I sensed his hatred immediately toward me, though I had never seen him before in my life, and even though he told me to "get out" (because I was white and there were only about three white people on that block). I ignored him and plopped my two items down on the counter which he took the money for anyways. As I was leaving; however, his enmity got the better of him and he whistled down the street to about thirty cholo gangmembers patrolling the neighborhood and pointed me out to them. I guess he never read the Sermon on the Mount.

They began to follow me until they cornered me between an iron fence. Three of them pulled knives and started toward me. I was unarmed but saw that I could hop the fence and so I did and took off down the alley putting my cross country running skills to good use eventually making it back to the cheap one bedroom flat in that Mexican neighborhood and crawling through the bathroom window so as not to wake up my dad who had to go to work the next morning.

Trayvon could have had it easy. I WISH I had George Zimmerman following me in a neighborhood populated by people of my own race instead of 30 gangbangers looking to execute me because I was white and in "their" neighborhood.

Trayvon is dead and that's a tragedy, but it's a tragedy that Trayvon chose when he violently attacked Zimmerman instead of one of the many other courses of action available to him.

If I had started throwing on those three Mexican gangmembers, I would have died for sure that night. That's a fact.
Why are you using your self pity story to try to spread you ideologies A lot of people have experienced racism but they dont try to incite hatred like you do.

Yeahhh...... right...

I'm out of this conversation.

But yeah, totally glad that no conservative anywhere has ever used the n word!!
There is a nice 100,000 dollar award, I believe still in effect, for any racial slur mentioned at a Tea Party gathering with video or audio proof.

So far, no one has claimed that.

If they recorded anything from an Occupy Wallstreet group....I betcha.

RAF, non-bias is a great thing. I have been trying extremely hard to be totally non-biased in this case. I don't know what happened, and I'm the first to admit it. As I said earlier, if Zimmerman is guilty of any wrongdoing, we know God will not let him get away with it in the end.

However, You can't fairly say that Zimmerman attacked a police officer. All charges were dropped. There was some evident altercation with a plainclothes officer that resulted in an arrest, but nothing stuck. This actually just happened near my house, in the University of Virginia area. Several ABC agents scared a young lady so badly, she sped away in her car, striking one of them. She was arrested and then, just like with Zimmerman, all charges were dropped.

If there has been slander, its been against Zimmerman, clearly.

Over and over and over again Martin's pic in a pristine white hoodie was shown, when he was much younger. The pick of him giving the cam two birds...that was not. Funny, eh?

Martin, just some young kid going to the store to buy candy and a soda, that's the portrayal on the news, right? False. Martin bought two of the three ingrediants to an intoxicant, that was found in his brain and liver at autopsy, Lean, if I have that spelled correctly. Arizona watermelon ice tea and skittles. The third ingredient is cough syrup.

Zimmerman got out of his car and was aggressive and started the fight. Evidence at trial says after his exchange with Martin, he walked away and Martin had the choice of going 100 yrds home, or 30 yrds to Zimmerman. He chose the 30 yrds and it took him four minutes to do it. That suggests stalking.

The idea that we cannot know Zimmerman's innocence is inaccurate. Not only did the attorney general keep evidence from the defence team, she stepped in when the police chief could not find enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman and made the arrest anyways, with no more evidence. The fact remains not only was Zimmerman innocent, there wasn't enough evidence to even arrest him.

The conclusion here is this was a leftist witch hunt, to stir up racial divides, even though a juror interviewed after deliberations said there was absolutely no racial component in the facts given at trial. This proves that the left, liberalism not only fosters racism, it needs racism to exist.

The Zimmerman trial only did one thing, exposed liberalism....even though thats been exposed for many years.

Maybe liberals will wake up and see, when facts are considered, their emotion based, meology, liberalism, is morally and intellectually bankrupt.

I doubt it.

Not to start an argument, but your facts demonstrate that we cannot know his guilt. They do not show that we can know his innocence.

My experiences are as valid as anyone else's even when they don't fit your idea of how the world is.

I was hunted and almost murdered after being fingered by a hateful racist man while a minor and all because of the color of my skin. Have you stopped to consider how much discrimination I faced in that place and time? No, of course, not. That doesn't fit your script or ideology, just like it doesn't fit Al Sharpton's, and so is immaterial to both of you.

The times I fought for my life against non-white racists solely because I was too poor to move away from a dangerous non-white ghetto are all just "self-pity" in your view and don't "count."

They count friend just like the friends I lost and they certainly are material to this discussion.

The truth is that your thinking is so screwed up that you call attempted murder and murder "self-pity" if the colors are reversed. That's how maligned and hypocritical you are in real life while simultaneously apparently completely unaware of your own dichotomist behavior.

Yes, I forgave them all decades ago. And also yes I have every right to share my personal narrative in a discussion thread and could care less whether you like it or not because it's the truth and it's relevant to this discussion.

The problem here is you, not me "friend."

Why are you using your self pity story to try to spread you ideologies A lot of people have experienced racism but they dont try to incite hatred like you do.

So white murderers usually get away with murder in your understanding. That is patently false providing further insight how your best thinking simply does not align with reality and possibly the cause behind your reverse racism.

The truth is that despite dramatic improvements in DNA analysis and forensic science, police fail to make an arrest in more than one-third of all homicides with the majority of unsolved homicides occurring in dozens of large urban city police departments. (See Scripps Howard News Service study of crime records).

Guess who is doing most of those homicides that go unsolved in large urban city police departments? Can you guess? That's right... non-whites. It's non-whites getting away with murder friend exactly the opposite of what you falsely asserted.

Here Einstein, read it for yourself: Search - Scripps Howard News Service

Lets see, not enough evidence even to arrest him and the AG trying to keep evidence from the defense team in no way suggests Zimmerman's innocence?

It does suggest innocence, in a way, but it in no way proves innocence. The Attorney General claims the withheld evidence was unintentional. I don't particularly believe or disbelieve her, but let's say it was purposeful. She has an interest in getting a conviction in a high-profile case that made the national news, and she deliberately withholds evidence from the defense. That is a despicable, disgusting, inexcusable thing to do. But it doesn't make me know Zimmerman is innocent. I have heard of many cases where a person who was almost surely guilty was freed due to some sort of impropriety involving the prosecution. Prosecutors do dumb things just like the rest of us.

Like I said, I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just trying to be 100% fair to the accused and the deceased.

This thread is stupid. Completely stupid. the only case in the entire history of mankind where one party was completely innocent was the one where Jesus died for the sins of the world. Zimmerman was not totally innocent and neither was Martin, get over it.

Actually the innocence of Zimmerman is a given.

My absolute wonder about this trial is how liberalism has once again proven itself to be bigoted, hateful, lacking in any intellectual honesty and corrupt to its core...

and people still follow it.

Amazing.
