Why ot just elope, spend all your money on a fantastic honeymoon and then later have a reception for family and friends to celebrate your marriage.:) I know several people who did this:)

Like the black :)
It is very nice.

I must take back my words of not wanting to marry.
For what i ment was I do not want to marry a man bad for or to me or some one i do not want to marry or someone with loads of bisexual wives and they all want rape me and use me as slave or other horrid things.

I actually would like to marry some day, be it true and as it should and of course concented and willed by both parties. (no forsed marriages)
and celibate till marriage applies to me also.lol. that one suprised me :) .

Agree, spend money on honey moon and one can travel 6 months round world for what some people sepnd on weddings.

Some things are price less, many things are.
Like lace made with pure love by someone who loves and cares for you or a necklace from mother inlay to wear (no knickers bockers though... lol no , ma i will not to wear them or maybe that is grandma ma in law that says you can wear them for your wedding night so you be sexy for my grand son.) lol :)

And handmade meatballs that perhaps some one made for guests.

One can actually get away with a cheap wedding.

Ask the guests to make food and then put it all on table.
Ask everyone to let you wear hand me down z generations of goodies like veil, dress etc. (not shoes) (they may smell and be to big)

One can marry lonesome just one on one with a priest.

But it nicer have guests if one has guests.

A big wedding may be nice depending on level of it.
I just find it a turn off bridezillas seem so selfish and greedy male as female.
Loose focus what about plus one has to know marriage is not for using someone , slavery etc.

Best wishes of holy marriage for us.

I do not have friends and betrayal bridesmaides , flower girls ha ha ha ....
can one skip that part?

Still always wanted big family and friends and lots food ofcourse and other wonders.
Maybe meet a fiance with big family and friends and then voila i have that.

And underwear should not be knickerbockers, one can probably get expert advise that department.
Ofcourse one should look ones personal best in ones true colours of who you are.
Feel beautiful and be beautiful in and out in true colours ready to unionise in a holy union of marriage.

I think it would be hilarious to be married by Elvis. But I doubt I would elope.

Also, I'm not huge on receptions. I would like to say, "Thank you for coming! Please give your gifts to the maid of honor and the best man. I'm leaving for my honeymoon now. Please don't follow us." My best friend told me that would be rude, and I would have to spend at least an hour at the reception. I just don't like receptions. They're either boring or waaaaaay too exciting when the cops show up.

Rachel, you have a good head on your shoulders. Good on you, mate. :)
ROFL, I could never understand that phrase when I heard it spoken! Good-on-you mate, it seems so obvious now. The folks I heard say it made it sound like 'gudawnya mate.' :D

Ha, DuchessAimee. I don't like when receptions are hours after the wedding... :/

Found this ring, thought it was pretty, looked at the price, and changed my mind ($2000).

That is gorgeous! I have a friend who knows about how to buy whole sale jewelry suuuuuper cheap. He would say that the ring isn't even worth the two grand. I'll bet it could be found for a much lower price. Stick with me Rach. I have the hook up! lol :p

Oh, and that ring makes so much sense for you! It looks like something you'd wear. Clean, classic, and feminine.
