I never even knew that people were still mad over the civil war till I moved here.

It's canned crab, but still yummy. The last thing I wanna do is to a big cookout. too hot. I hard boiled some eggzez, just got a big tomato at farmer's market on way back from church, persian cucumbers, carrots. out of celery. using a jamaican type sweet dressing for a lil' islandy zip. Hits the spot on a hot day.
 
ohhh man...are you kidding me??? It's as bad as christians fighting among one another...yanno what kills me is that people in Maine...and I swear I am not joking one bit...people here,when they find out I am from NY,grew up there most of my life...it's like I just told them I was the anti-christ here to devour their souls & their young!

This stems from..guess what?....the fact that the Boston Red Sox & the NY Yankee baseball teams are rivals.
Yes indeed. You cannot believe the people I work with,when they get a call & have to deal with a person from the state of NY,no matter what part of the state...they get done with that call & totally say horrible things about the caller & NYer's in general.

So it's the same with Southerners who have an immense dislike for Northerners. It's so ridiculous.

I had a horrible experience teaching in Texas one year. I'm so glad I moved back to California.

Was at an all black school. About a decade before, it was an all white neighborhood, but when blacks started moving in, "white flight" occurred. The kids were growing up to hate whites, and they were hostile before even meeting me. The teachers in the faculty room had such low expectations of the kids because they were black, so they weren't any better, in fact they were worse.

Horrible experience.
 
yes...I hear that Cat. peeps in Maine aren't fond of black people either. They seriously view them as criminals...it's pathetic. many Mainers sit around & watch FOX News & view it as scripture. I loathe racist attitudes & christians (or people whom profess to serve Jesus) that are & have that attitude make me sick. I really have to pray for myself & those peeps,'cause it's very easy to get in the flesh & want to K.O. them.
 
I was born and bread in California. The two areas are completely polar opposite. When I moved here, someone asked me where I was from. I said Californina, they said, "oh so your a yankee." I didn't even understand at the time. lol. I was like, what are you Brittish? lol.
 
LOL. I was just thinking..if Biskers comes in today/tonight I will have to apologize for calling her a dude. LOL Hey..who knew about pink & blue?? Not me baby..not me!
 
I knew, but I don't look at it always. I don't know what it was about her comments but I just thought she was male. Then I saw the pink. lol.

Funny..when people I work with ask me where I'm from,I just say Born in California..I don't even bother to tell them San Francisco...if they hate me 'cause I grew up in NY my whole life,can you imagine if they new the city I was born in,with all those hippies & gays??? sheesh. lol:rolleyes:
 
I never go to peoples profiles yah know. So I don't see their other pics. Then I went cause Jullianna said something about her having a mustache and I went to see what she was talking about.

Me tooooo I never gave it a second thought...lol never even looked at her profile until Peanut said to check it out. I was laffin so hard. I even told peanut.."Nah,it's a guy bein' silly...it's totally a guy!"...I guess we were totally wrong! lol
 
I saw the pink. When she first came on, nothing in your posts clued me to the fact that you were thinking of her as a dude. I thought you just accepted her as "one of the guys." You could have just not admitted anything and it would have been fine. It's not uncommon for guys to call gals "dude."

Oh I still would have called her dude probably,but I think I kept reffering to her as "he" or "him" and I dunno why "she" didn't question that? lol
 
Cat, if I think it, you'll know it. lol. So I just threw it out there as soon as I realized.
