I was just skimming through that thread too...I still don't fully understand what she was trying to ask...that's why I didn't bother to post any advice,because..well...you know what happens when Jim posts advice. lol
She wanted someone to tell her it was okay to 1) think that God was putting that guy in her life to have a relationship with, 2) that being with a much older guy was okay, and 3) it was okay to use scripture as you want... instead of using it as it is.
We are to mold ourselves to scripture, not mold scripture to us.
I don't see the problem with being lighthearted sometimes. Obviously you don't want to get off topic if serious issues or prayerful things are being discussed. (which yes,I'm sure all of us at one time have been guilty of)..but this is family in some ways...and families share in everything. But yeah dude..stop derailing stuff..sheesh.LOL
I've found myself basically just posting on this thread too. I like that we talk about whatever comes up, no one gets all high and mighty (except me), and I feel like y'all have become better friends.
"you want the truth? you can't handle the truth!" lol. I don't know why I said that. I'm going to find a sample of that dude and just copy it into posts randomly.
so then yer' apologizing for how God made you? Ugh..lol
not judging you bro,'cause I do it too.
We can only be how God made us...and I think God can use humor to heal us...not use it as a crutch or substitute for Him or His word..but it can be a tool for healing...definitely!
Agreed, I just type whatever. I type like I'm talking. I type single lines and then follow them up with other single lines in real time. so I'll have three short sentences in a row. I have no filter mostly. and I whatever....Yea, hey it's me. lol.
I had to be violent! He was running back to the corner! I thought about leaving his carcass so his friends would find him, see the carnage, and know I mean business... but I squished him extra in the kleenex to make sure he was dead.
Just the way you thought about that was very viol..well smart actually. Probably better than bug spray. It's kind of old school like when they would leave the dudes in the coffins out in front of the store in the old west days. With a sign that said "this is what happens to horse thieves." I think they did that.?
