Hello! I am also a Christian who is part of the LGBT* group.

I too have read about the history of the few verses that seem to condemn homosexual behavior and how they may or may not have been mistranslated. To me, however, this does not matter.

What matters is the feeling you get when you talk to God about it.

The role He gives every person on Earth is different and unique. Those differences are what make us so beautiful! I have prayed and spoken to God about my sexuality, and everything that I have experienced says that it is just fine to keep doing what I am doing. God has blessed me with a unique role, and I will continue to proudly fill it.

No human has the right to judge another based on how they listen and follow God's word. That is His job.

I dont think being attracted to the same sex is a sin. You're attracted to who you're attracted to. I do, however, think acting on you're homosexual feelings is a sin. If you're attracted to the same sex ( not saying that you are) then pray on it and ask God for guidance to stop feeling the way that you do and the strength to resist you're urges. Blessings! :)

We all have sin. No matter what keep that relationship open with God. You can ask people for their views on things all day long. True transformation into what God wants you to be will come from Him.

Personally, I believe that homosexuality is sin and it's something that God had never intended, nor desired. I feel the same way about abortion.

However, and that's a big however, it doesn't mean that homosexuals are going to Hell or anything like that. It's always assumed that homosexuals will go to Hell. Not true at all, In fact I can't stand when people say that. God loves everyone no matter what they do. As long as you believe in God, there isn't anything you can do that will send you to Hell.

If you're a non-believer, well that's another story...

By the way, i'm not trying to offend anyone or anything like that. I don't judge.

Dude, you said it. I have my views as well however there is nothing God can not do. That is why in all things I say keep on with that relationship with Him. God will reveal to you the things you need to change and will make it effortless. Just be open to Him. I hate seeing the damage done by people. I feel like people get knocked out by the judgment of others and discouraged from having a relationship with Jesus. Jesus wants a relationship with all of us.

The Bible is straightforward about what God says about homosexuality, I'm sure adultery, etc. is just a big of sin, if not bigger. But homosexuality is still not God's will. Your feelings have squat to do with it.

Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. - Leviticus 18:22

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. – Romans 1:26-27

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. – 1st Corinthians 6:9-10

There are scads of others. Now, you certainly have a right to approve of homosexuality. But don't try to say the Bible supports that, because it just plain doesn't. You'd best choose a different religion if you believe our creator approves of that. Otherwise, you're just ignoring what scripture plainly says. You'll also notice, if you read these scripture, that idolaters and adulterers are listed before homosexuals as not making it into the kingdom of heaven. So they are at least as bad. But that doesn't make homosexuality right. It's still wrong. That's made perfectly clear in scripture.

I understand where you're coming from, but you can't say that a person is a Christian and that they can go crazy sinning and willingly do things that God doesn't want them to do. You have to, at the very least, try to not sin. I'm not saying everyone is perfect and will not sin, but to do so willingly is not good. We all have struggles, yes, but you can't just go do whatever you want thinking God will forgive you because that's not really showing love to God.

If a person loves God, they will be obedient to him and try their darnedest to not sin or fall into temptation. That will not always happen, but at least they are trying.

Leviticus also forbid wearing mixed fabrics which I'm guessing most if not all of us are wearing now.

It's important to look at Leviticus in context to the time period. God gave the Israelites many rules to separate them from the surrounding pagan nations. You can't just look at that one verse in Leviticus, you must also take into account verses that speak about homosexuality in the New Testament.

I do not care what you have to say on the matter. I have made my peace with God, and my relationships are between Him, me, and whoever I choose to have a relationship with.

In other words, it has nothing to do with you :)

Live and let live. Judge not and be not judged.

To everyone on here that said you cant be gay an be a christians if that where the case no one in the whole world could be a christians because absolutly no one but christ lived without sin everyone of us still sins an if you say you dont your a lier... an sin is sin no matter whay it is an if one sinner can be a christian so can any other wether gay or not.
I'm sure that person meant you can't be a Christian and choose to continue gay practices. We all have a tendency to sin. True. But as Christians, we strive with the help of the Holy Spirit not to sin. As Christ said to the adulterous, "go and sin no more." That's what we're to do as Christians. Hence, if you have homosexual tendencies as a Christian, you turn from them.

I'm sure you don't care what I say, which isn't important. What is is that you obviously don't care what scriptures say. You believe your feelings, and you will continue to. Because that's what you want. But your feeling and decisions about this have nothing to do with truth, which is what the Bible provides. Too bad that you don't care.

If your beliefs contradict scripture, the god you have a relationship isn't the God that breathed the holy scriptures. It's another god entirely.

The Bible also says to judge rightly.

I believe differently than you, that is all there is to say on the matter.

It is not your place to point out if I am wrong or right. That privilege belongs only to Him.

Then don't claim to be a Christian. Scriptures say what they say and you're ignoring that. Yet you're calling yourself a Christian. It is my place to point this out because you're claiming to be a Christian. We are to correct one another. Again and again, you're ignoring what God said about this. Those scriptures are straight forward. You have to totally ignore them to say what you're saying. You need to read the Bible. We're suppose to judge rightly. And I'm doing that. According to scripture, if I don't point out to you your sin, I'm responsible for your loss. That's just a fact.

Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

Which he does/has done through his word.
I believe differently than you. God loves me no less for it.

I came here to express my feelings on the subject for the OP, not conform to what you or anyone else believes.

Ok, I would never question God's love for anyone, and I didn't even mention anything about that. I just stated that his word is like our manual for life, it shows what is right and wrong. You can take it or leave it but that's what it does.
