I mean.. GOD made it possible for women to understand things.! comprehend!... soo, why did HE ever do that, if HE doesnt want them (women) to use it??
I don't have any verses.. yet.. but I guess I know that when Jesus came out of the grave, the first to meet HIM were women. and THEY started telling the people about it.. correct me if Im wrong.

The same goes for our sin nature. We can sin, but we need to follow the Word and not sin :) (or at least try as hard as we can with GOD's strength)

You should read the Link I post a couple post ago

Acts 12:17, it says "your sons and DAUGHTERS shall prophecy". Now prophecy is delivering the word of God. What do preachers do? Who did Jesus ask to tell the disciples after he had risen? Mary Magdalene. The Bible says that God is no respecter of person. So if only men could preach, that would mean God was a respecter of person. Thereby making the Bible lie. I, for one believe that God is NOT a respecter of person. He desires all who are called, to preach the gospel.

--Got that from a website... and now it's really confusing me.. both sides have points

There's something found in 1 Timothy chapter 2 that has me puzzled and that's verse 15 where Paul makes a very bold claim that a woman is saved through childbearing.

Anyone care to tackle that one? *lol*

Naz, I wonder what Peter meant when He mentioned sharing the gracious gift of life with a WEAKER partner.

1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Hmmm...

Well whats wrong with debate anyway? Its how we came up with which books should be in the bible. Anyway, my wife is a pastor and I'm sure she would like to add some comments. She sure opened my eyes. We can provide tons of bible verses but if we take them out of context whats the point?

This is where women and men have been given equal but opposite roles. We are all equals because in God's eyes we are all the same we just have opposite roles to fulfill

in my opinion.. what does it matter male or female... we both are trying to get God's word to be known.. shouldnt Christ be our main focus?

I never said preach. if you read original post i said teach. there is a definite difference between preach and teach. It is because of cultural refrences we assume that the pastor preaches. every sunday up in front (which should not always be but thats a different topic) instead i said teach which i believe that women should not teach.
Cor.14: 34-35 "women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." This passage is clear - women should not speak publicly therefore cannot be a pastor in the church.
again. assuming that your pastor is the one infront of the church body teaching you every sunday a women should not be a pastor. women should definetly be sharing the gosple but should not be infront of the church body teaching or preaching. another thing that is not clear and im not really gonig to go into this but if a women is teaching a body of women is that ok? (i personally believe so because it says that the older women should teach the younger women in faith... but anyways.)
