I have seen threads on Joyce meyers and Benny Hinn. So I thought I would start one on Jimmy. Most tv preachers can obtain a 30 minute show for anywhere from 13,000 to 100,000 dollars a month and that is remarkable that they have that many people donating to their ministry.

The Swaggart family and associate ministers and Church, have their own network. They are on comcast, directv, dish network, Time warner cable, and many, many others and not to mention free over the air tv.

There monthly budget for all this, is about 3 million dollars a month.

They must be doing something right.

And get this. If you don't agree with their doctrine, they say I love you and go somewhere else. They preach the word hard and strong. Yet the money pours in.

They preach the old time Gospel and its working.

Your thoughts please.

I forgot to mention that the only ads they have on their network are their own. They do not sell ads to other companies. They are totally reliant on donations.

Jimmy loved himself some prostitutes but eventually got caught with them. It's actually an interesting story. Jimmy had hired himself some private investigators to get the goods on another competing televangelist and took him out. Jimmy's plan worked well but what happened was the other televangelist simply returned the favor and hired their own private investigator to catch Jimmy in the act. It worked proving that what comes around goes around.

I knew this would come up. Let Him who is without sin cast the first stone. How many preachers do you know that have fell to this same situation. Is there any forgiveness among the body of Christ, or shall we talk about the millions that have been saved under his ministry.

Age, I'm sorry, didn't want to get mean or deject you in anyway. But a man under this anointing will be attacked at all sides. This happened back in the late 1980's. Before viagra. What would you do. He went to see a girl strip to see if his limbido would do its thing and reporters who were after him caught him leaving the hotel in a jogging suit. He admitted it, repented and is still with his wife Francis. Grab the stone.

Regardless of that. His ministry is growing and beyond that of any other. Call TBN and ask for 30 minute spot and see how much that cost. The proof is in the pudding.

financial success is not a sign of a successful ministry. the quantity of people who respond to your message is not the sign of a successful ministry. the quality of lives surrendered to the true Gospel is the only true sign of a successful ministry. jimmy swaggarts doctrine is false and perverted. period.

3 million dollars a month and God is not blessing what they teach and preach. How much does your church take in a month. I agree with you brother we are all part of the body of Christ. whether our church is 5 people or 5,000 people. But you must admit that they could not do this own their own and that God is behind it.

I do not listen to Jimmy Swaggert much. But if he is redeemed then glory to God. If not redeemed then where is the evidence against him? If no evidence and not redeemed then woe to him. God will take care of the faithful.

The Lord leads. He is behind EVERYTHING, that's what I've been trying to say all along, that God IS behind these ministries on tv that preach the Gospel. Honestly, disclosure, I don't watch TBN, Daystar, or any other tv, because I don't have one . But, I truly believe that God flourishes the Lambs' Daystar ministry, and, TBN is actually with headquarters right here in my area of the Pacific Northwest, unless they moved, at least they have a tv station here, so, local pastors and people of His faith can come in there and interview, etc.

But, yeah, we do NOT understand God's thoughts, no one does, and, this is in Scripture, both in Isaiah 58 and in 1 Cor. 2 . So, that is what we are to go by in OUR understanding of God. "Great is the mystery of godliness." We know, by fact, that the HOly Spirit is the Helper God gave us all, and, that He is our Advocate, our Comforter, even, since Jesus IS the HOly Spirit, Jesus called His disciples His friends. So, the HS is our friend too But, the convicting power of the Holy Spirit is real too and some are convicted in ways, again, that we just can't understand nor even will ever understand because God does not tell us. He knows but we don't. Some things, I think Scripture says, that we just dont' know. Like Phil. 4:7, the peace of Christ surpasses all understanding, think that's what it says. So....

Is God behind Benny Hinn and Jim Bakker selling his doomsday food and generators? Or behind Danny Davis and his Psalms 91 oil? Or Dr. Murdock and his "seed sowing" campmeeting?

It rains on the just and the unjust...look up the rest of that verse. Pretty interesting.

God IS faithful. But , we, hmm, best way to put it is, we are to have faith, but we can be unfaithful. But, God? Nope, it says in Scripture that God cannot be unfaithful to Himself

2 Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he ... "if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. ... If we are
unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is..."
