Your boyfriends awkward moment at work when he calls a male customer 'baby' because he spaced out for a second and thought he was talking to you.

When your potty-training toddler yells out in the middle of a public restroom, "I CAN'T push it OUT, mommy!!!"

That awkward moment when you call a customer babe. The look on his face was priceless though... and I busted out laughing.

That awkward moment when you're talking about someone which that someone is not supposed to hear coming from you and because of your bad timing, the very person you're talking about walks past you and hears a good deal of it. Really awkward. Grrrr.

Never had that happen... but only because my kids don't call me mommy.

My son has to stay on a high fiber diet...
So I get the awkward moment of occasionally buying things like Metamucil or Miralax... for a seven year old instead of a seventy year old.

The awkward moment when my son threw up on the sidewalk just outside the door at taco bell (on our way in) and then my daughter insisted that she couldn't wait to get somewhere else she needed to "go number two" so I had to sit in the car watching the taco jockey clean the sidewalk while waiting for my daughter without me even going in to buy something... then she Insisted that she still wanted taco bell so we had to hit the drive through at a different taco bell.

I'm just glad that was not This week; It was months back. Although this week was not without incident... I had the awkward moment of my son getting the more recent stomach virus & still throwing up from the night before as I tried to get us ready to drop his sister @ school... and me not slowing down all day until about bedtime when I realized i was still wearing the jeans he'd chucked on... hey, at least I'd changed shoes, eh?

Parenthood is so glamorous.

My son had a...diaper explosion...in a high chair at McDonald's last summer. The kind where I refused to even pick him up and carry him, so we pushed the chair into the bathroom, picked him up with the least contact possible, got him on the changing table where...stuff...spread everywhere.

If I had WANTED to clean a fast-food joint's bathroom, I would have applied for a job there. Oy!

But I too have wandered around for hours with child puke on me somewhere.

*sigh*

I'm not a parent, but I have been a nanny. So... the awkward moment when you know the little one is going to throw up, and you don't have anything to catch it... but your hands. Yep, she threw up in my hands and thank God the grocery store had a bathroom.

That awkward moment you decide to pull the "do you believe in love at first sight, or do I have to walk by you again?" tactic, and you walk by the same person 4 times and they still don't look at you...and then you really do feel like a creepy stalker.

I hope your son is feeling better. That virus has been bad this year. My kids and I have had it twice. I call it the worst diet plan ever, lol.

That awkward moment you blush like crazy reading the match-making thread and realise Americans really love Tintin. :)
