Overall a 3.7 fold increase in these issues. Also, 13 billion doses of the vaccine have been administered worldwide, so this is going to have a huge impact globally.

I believe that's the way this nation was originally established, as separate, yet unified in some ways to facilitate free trade within the colonies. When they were ratified as states/ countries they had their own constitutions and capitals. The fed was an extremely small power that was a necessary evil to carry out limited responsibilities. They were subservient to the united states/ countries. Public schools have done a good job of molding public opinions and perspectives. What you said makes sense in as much as the liberals could move to Colorado, for instance and the conservatives to Arizona and Texas. As it was, one state did not effect the others as it does today. The fed gt holds far more power of consolidation now. It is no longer operating as the constitutional republican form it was originally designed and no longer will become one.

I tend to agree politically and under ideal circumstances, but I think it's a little more complicated. I visited a good church in New York state. The men protected their families by training with the weapons they carried to church, feeding, housing and teaching them.
It was springtime because I remember that a member tapped his own trees in his yard and had a bunch of stoves boiling down the syrup in his garage. They had a big group of men, women and children that went out through the week to lead communities to Christ.
They lived in a very beautiful and prosperous part of the state. They explained that they did not like the city of NY because it was opposed to every decent thing that God's Word said that pleased Him. The population was so large that it had political sway that huge county controlled the rest of an otherwise decent state. You see the situation that I'm talking about? There are other states like that and the people aren't will to move.
Another example like that is Virginia. Politically West Virginia has been much more desirable and some have moved from their jobs and homes in VA, but not enough to make much difference.
