Jerry Seinfeld Blasts Anti-Semitic Protester At Latest Show: You ‘Just Gave More Money To A Jew’
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld responded to pro-Palestinian protesters disrupting his comedy shows in Australia with humor and sarcasm, calling out their ineffective approach and the irony of supporting a cause by giving money to a Jewish performer.
Seinfeld emphasized the protesters’ misplaced actions, likening their disruption to performing comedy at a sports event and facing booing.
He mocked the protesters’ chants and urged them to rethink their strategies, pointing out the absurdity of their actions during a comedy show.
“Oh, you’re back. They’re back! The protesters are back! I’ve missed you!” Seinfeld joked. “Oh, you’re not doing well. It’s so hard for you. Yes, listen, dude, listen, let me explain something, you and I are in the same business.”
“We’re in the same business. Our business is to get people to see things the way we see,” he said. “The problem is you’re in the wrong place. … You hear how well I’m doing? This is what you want. You want to do well, like I am, looking at the people here to hear me, look at what happened to you.”
“I think you need to go back and tell who’s ever running your organization, ‘We just gave more money to a Jew,’” Seinfeld added. “That cannot be a good plan for you. That’s not what you want! That’s the whole problem! You got to come up with a better plan.”
Despite facing anti-Semitic interruptions, Seinfeld used wit to address the situation and continue entertaining his audience.
“We have a genius ladies and gentlemen. He’s solved the Middle East. He’s solved it!” Seinfeld said. “It’s the Jewish comedians, that’s who we have to get.”
“Go ahead, keep going,” he quipped. “They’re going to start punching you in about three seconds, so I would try and get all of your genius out so we can all learn from you.”
“It’s a comedy show, you moron!” Seinfeld added. “Get out of here.”
