Yeah. I've known a few. They're real easy to be friends with, and great friends to have.

Unfortunately it tends to end with me being a pallbearer, which has also happened more than once. But I was proud to know every one of them.

Hmm... when I read what I wrote, it sounds like I'm being a turd. I want to clarify this.

I'm not (at least intentionally) being terse with you. I'm being terse with tourist. He and his keep trying to pair me off with people. He deserves a bit of snark once in a while. It's only fair... he blithely ignores all my warnings about the flamethrower I use to deal with matchmakers.

Please don't take my smart remarks personally. I'm getting smart with him, not you.

The truth is, I was going through a super "serious" phase (as shown by my previous threads about prayer before this one.) I know that one of the most pervasive criticisms of the Singles Forum is that it's somehow not "spiritual" or that we never talk about the Bible, etc.

When I go through my "withdrawal" phases I started reading/watching documentaries about things that catch my interest -- this time it was psychopathology, the histories behind the remains of ancient mummification, genetics (conjoined twins, hermaphroditism, chimeras), and various other times when genetics seem to go horribly wrong -- and during these phases, I'm asking God questions the whole time.

But these aren't exactly the kinds of things that people want to read about, especially here in Singles, lol... So my need for serious discussion came out in the Prayer threads, while this thread is a by-product of everything else. Just an old idea I'd been carrying around ever since the last shipping tthread died out.

I still have a couple more ideas...

We'll see what happens. No guarantees, as I can go into another withdrawal phase at any given time, and without any notice, depending on my stress levels, depression, and what's going in in life, etc. And if I happen to "fall out" of a writing mode, I just can't make myself do it, no matter how much I might try. I just have to wait it out until it "comes back" again, so there are a lot of ups and downs.

I am always thankful for your kindness and support, even if I step out of the loop for a while.
