I alway thought that was "Let me count the waves"
Which actually seemed to make sense.
The waves are pretty endless.
that's pretty funny

and then there is also 'the sea of love', which might go along with those waves ;)

I am thinking some people must not get out much at all or live in all female households if they never meet any men.

Wait till the weekend. Take your car and park out front of any auto parts store. Walk in the auto parts store and say aloud. Oh my gosh can any man save this damsel in distress. I need to check my oil and have no clue how. Can any of you manly men show a poor gal how. You will have at least a half dozen white nights rushing through the door to your aid with their capes flapping in the wind ;)

This is true. Both times my old car got flat tires, I was going to try to change the tire myself and there was a man that came along and insisted on doing it for me. (And I've learned to be gracious enough to accept such help even though I'm pretty sure I could do it myself if I had to).

Joining a church would be a great place to meet like minded people. Pray for guidance and discernment.

While i dont know where or how to meet a man. I do know most men are avoiding online dating. It is a female safe space where u can pick and choose men based on qualifications without really throwing much out there. Men who are very qualified get non stop action and the rest get almost nothing. Something like %40 of users are married and trolling for sex.

Online dating has created a world of options and now many who use it get choice addiction where they cant stop because there may b a better option around the corner so look forever.

I probably should point out that it was a different man each time. I don't have some weird tire fixing stalker or anything like that.

I met my husband at a church singles group..in the summer..at a swim party..so you got to see "the real deal"..
It was July..he challenged me to a swim race..he won, of course,
we had our first date the 4th of July..he had a Red Pontiac GTO convertible..
And we watched the fireworks by the Washington Monument.
Married 30 years.
Both our kids were swimmers..boy sprinter,, clean-up on team quad..girl long distance..on summer team..and all high school.
Ah! Memories

I'm looking for the right guy, so personally I am prepared to move/connect online first etc. I was wondering if anyone here could share their experiences with dating and how you met the person? I guess this is moreso directed toward the ladies but men are welcome to let me know their experience also. Thanks!
The single most important factor for you to consider is this: Has his Heart been Purified by Christ? If not . . . see ya dude.

I think you’ll find some helpful advice in a video that can be seen by navigating to www.sittingrooms.org. One of the Scriptures mentioned has really helped me as I wait on God to give me the desires of my heart.

Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).

How to view the video:

Go to www.sittingrooms.org

Click on "Waiting for the Right Single Christian Man" in the last bullet point that reads: My Story: A follow-up Letter written by a young women featured in "Waiting for the Right Single Christian Man."

car club, navy, army, airforce, YMCA, yacht club, golf club, woodturning group, police force, hunting club, federated farmers, rugby club, bowling club ...come on women use your brains to find out where men go. Then join them.

If you go to a bar all you are going to meet are drunkards.

Neither especially. I don't really know how to go about meeting men. Perhaps I should look online again.
Over the last 4 years or so I have dated Christian men I met online. I regret dating all of them and I truly believe that if God wants to bring two people together then He will do it. I know of quite a few people this has happened to. Meeting people online can be dangerous, no matter how careful you try to be. Meeting people at Christian events, Church or better still, through friends seems much better than online. I have found that many people on Christian dating sites have personality disorder or other concerning aspects of their character, and talking online makes it easy for them to hide how they really are ; this is true of narcissists and those with Aspergers in my experience. It’s taken months before I’ve discovered the truth about them. I hope I’ve been of some help ... keep close to Jesus and His people x

I love the women who magically age at least 10-20 years, gain 50lbs, and grow a hump on their back....and they "just just don't know why they are looking so bad today"....

Then there's the ones sweet as all get out but have custody of three absolute monsters by three different fathers and she is crying about the two different fathers who have custody of their children and she doesn't see them because she lost all parental rights to them.

Then there's the ones who are nice at first but then for no reason whatsoever all of a sudden begin getting mean and don't stop for anything. As if you are the cause of everything wrong in their life...

Better to consider local relationship instead of long distance. My last ex I met through a penpal site and a few years later we were married. After the wedding, I discovered that she had hid the truth of not being a believer and told me after 9 years she really never had any love for me. Meet someone local to physically spend quality time with them to observe if their walk equals their talk.
God bless hun. Some people marry for the wrong reasons.
