I like words.
I know random words that most people have never even heard of. As I result nobody ever wants to play scrabble with me. I don't have many 'Words with Friends' friends either lol. However, my Mother wins all her games by simply handing me her phone and saying 'What's that word?'. Oddly enough she no longer asks for the meanings, she just says 'Thank you'.
I like spelling, reading, grammar and pretty much anything to do with words.
Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors jump out at me, I don't even have to look for them.
I may or may not have found errors in advertising brochures I've received in the mail, edited them, and posted the edited version back to the company. This may or may not have occurred on more than one occasion.
I correct your poor grammar in my head when you're speaking to me.
I own a T-shirt with the slogan 'I'm so adjective I verb nouns' written on it.
I do admit to editing an online job advertisement for a 'Newspaper Editor'. The ad was full of mistakes, it was obvious they needed an Editor. I didn't apply for the position, instead I edited their terrible advertisement and emailed it back to them, with the original advertisement as a comparison, highlighting the errors. Strangely enough they never replied, but they did replace their ad on the online job-seeking website with my revised edition. I consider that a win.
