Next thread idea:

"Who's Going to Duke It Out to be One of the 5 1/2 People Who Get to have Pizza at Oncefallen's House?"

We'll set up a pit and let all the contenders go to it. I can't wait to place my bets on the people I think are going to win...

Talk about "The Hunger Games."

And if only 5 1/2 people are allowed... Tommy, you should seriously ask out that midget girl Tiffany you keep saying you have a crush on.
Now that I think of it...

We're probably going to have to split the fight into "Lightweight" and "Heavyweight" divisions.

Some of the guys here are half my size, and even though I'd be sure to give 'em a run for the money, I want to win!!!

Knowing you, I'm pretty sure that it would be more like The Pentagon.

(Oops, and in my last post before this, I meant to say that some of the guys here are twice my size..., henceforth, the weight divisions.)

The phony's tend to lose interest and move on quickly. I believe that you can learn a lot about a member through their post history and the length of time that they have been a member. It takes a lot of effort to remain an integral part of this community. This place is probably far superior to the average dating site.
I'm with you on this one, Tourist. Although I'm not actively scoping for a significant other, I'm open to any doors God might open along the way.

One of the reasons I quit the dating sites and have not been back is because at least one prominent Christian site eliminated their (written) chat rooms and forums. I know everyone has their own way of communicating, but if it's not in person, I prefer to get to know someone over a longer amount of time through writing. The forums help me get to know how people think, what they've been through, and where they stand on important topics.

The chat rooms on the dating sites helped me connect with other women who knew what was going on behind the scenes. For instance, it was the place where I'd find out that someone I had my eye on was talking to 10 other women... and giving them all the same lines.

To me, places like this cut out a lot of the riff raff and help a person get to know who's real and who isn't, even though, as you said, it takes a bit of time and effort, but the friends one makes are well worth it.

And there are some of us who are ok with how we look and don't need to splash our pictures around to get validation from people we will never really know on the internet. =^.^=

We really need to get back to pizza...

Remember that supreme with extra, extra, extra cheese, well done, I was talking about earlier? I think I'll get one for breakfast tomorrow. At that convenience store they PILE IT UP with toppings. You get a supreme, you get a pizza three inches thick, and the crust is maybe 3/32nd of an inch. It gives new meaning to the term "pizza pie."

wanting my pizza right now...super thin and crispy
so probably from rapid fire

with thin tomato slices
fresh little mozzarella balls
fresh basil leaves
caramelized onion
a little drizzle of reduced balsamic vinegar

I might bring a special someone from cc with me if it could be arranged

I guess we cant go to idiot in chiefs....so, maybe we outta just find a nice state park with picnic areas, campsites, and a beach...
we could always have a bonfire and people can stay if they want
